^Oh, absolutely. She had self esteem issues, but I never got the impression that she had guy related self esteem issues or "daddy issues" or anything like that. If anything she was still mostly uninterested or basically annoyed by the opposite sex. I don't recall her doubting that/why Ben liked her, did she? She was confident enough with him to argue with him. I just don't see her growing up and being blind to a guy's faults just because he paid attention to her.
I didn't see her having those type of issues either...I just would really like to see her happy!

I can see her going that way after the Spaz Girl stuff, but not after Riverbend because she seemed more confident after that. I think part of the reason why some may see Mallory in this way is because of the fanfic that was very popular in which she was in an abusive relationship.
