I'm writing a fanfic where Claudia is dating Alan and MA is dating Cary, and I'm toying with the idea of having Stacey and Ethan break up and Stacey getting back together with Sam, just so that Kristy totally loses her mind. I like Ethan a lot, but I don't think they have that much in common and it would be good, plot-wise. What do you guys think? Could you see Stacey and Sam getting back together, or was Stacey just totally over it?

Stacey and Sam for sure! I always liked them together the most... such a sweet chemistry between them. And I love the elements of their crush at the beginning of the series.
On another note, will you be sharing on the fanfic website?

I like Stacey and Sam but I'm currently reading Stacey's Broken Heart, and the way Ethan is written makes him not only seem attractive and artsy but he's also good with kids (the clincher).

Sure, I could see Stacey and Sam reuniting! I like them together more than Stacey and Ethan. In my case, though, the nostalgia factor has a lot to do with it.

Sent from my SM-G900P using proboards i will be posting chapters that are only visible to members of the community on Babysitters100, and then when I edit it, I'll post it on fanfiction.net. I like Ethan a lot, and if he were not fictional and about 15 years too young for me, I'd totally date him myself. But I'm wondering if dealing with a long-distance relationship would be too much, and I don't think they have that much in common. I was actually considering having Claudia date him, but we had enough Stacey/Claudia drama in FF.

the nostalgia factor has a lot to do with it. That's how I feel as well. I like early series Stacey more than later series Stacey, so that's why I'm just drawn to Stacey/Sam. Love Ethan, though. Sam and Ethan are the same age, right? And they both have similar looks--dark hair and blue eyes, I think.

^Cool you are writing a story Greer. Kristy tells us in KGI that Sam has "sparkly blue eyes." This was when she was describing both Sam and Stacey and trying to figure out what drew them to one another. I am a Sam fan. I truly believe under his sometimes joking exterior he has a good heart. He's a wonderful big brother to Karen (Charlie is, too)! in the LS books (Karen's Worst Day and Karen's Chicken Pox are two favorite examples of mine, also for Charlie Karen's Monsters when he takes Karen with him to help solve who took the missing monster and Sam when he helped the KIMCC learn to play the wedding song a surprise for Ms. Colman in Karen's Tuba. Lots of other times :)As for Sam and Stacey, I don't like to think about any of the BSC characters growing up. To me, they will forever be the ages they were in the original series. I would definitely though love to see Sam and Stacey, Logan and Mary Anne together.

Logan and Mary Anne are not happening in any story I wrote, ever. I am only aging them a little bit in my story--it's about their first year of high school.

^Lol That is a wonderful thing about our board that we each have our favorites and pov's and after all these many years still come together.

Aww, that's why I like him...he is silly (<--see my quote haha) and a good big brother, and he sounds very cute Now I feel like reading Shadow Lake.

^I agree Boo Boo and I do indeed like your quote I think Sam and Charlie were also wonderful brothers to Kristy and wish we had gotten to read more about that and also S and C with David Michael and later Andrew. As for Sam and jokes, I completely agree that his using humor to ease into some Stacey situations was very in character and keeping with a young man his age. I'm just (never have been) a fan of jokes or pranks in general which is why I said that. You should read Shadow Lake and be cheered up by a certain "Gummity, Gummity, Woop Song," in addition to, of course, Sam and even the boat float.

I've only read Ethan books once so I don't have any attachment to him. I just remember Stacey broke up with him basically because he wasn't paying enough attention to her. I do not think she is one who should attempt a long distance relationship.
I think there's a lot to play with in a Stacey/Sam story. If you're aging them a year then they would be in the same school and dealing with each other's friends. There's also a natural conflict with Kristy. They weren't that great of friends anymore, but Stacey might be at Kristy's house all the time anyway.
