I remember loving this Super Special as a kid, it was my fave one. and i loved the cover, gold and i really wanted to buy it when it came out but my mum said it was too much $$$, around $8.00 AUS or something. and i think it came with a free bsc necklace or something.
ive since bought it off ebay and its pretty cute. i love claudias (caludias) story, mimi is the best. i also liked hearing about staceys bitchy friends and how she learned she had diabetes. i have diabetes too. and i loved hearing more about shannon, i think shes pretty interesting.
who else loved this book?

I loved it. I loved that babysitter that took MA to that Bingo parlor, who got fired by Richard for doing so. And that babysitter that played that joke on them. And I don't know if Claud's teacher would have made that big of a deal about Claud's picture in real life. I would have thought she would think Claud was "thinking outside of the box" or something.

I agree about Claudia's picture. I don't think many teachers are as... hmm... uncultured as this woman sounds. Most would probably be impressed, albeit a little surprised.
I liked Stacey's chapter. Those girls were some serious bitches.

Yep, loved this Super Special. I thought Mal's was cute as well, but Jessi's was a bit boring. And I loved Mary Anne's, because I like stories about the three of them as kids.

I didn't really like Logan's chapter because I would rather have read a story from when he was back in Kentucky. I didn't like Shannon's story either. It was just supplemental information explaining why she acted "snobby" towards Kristy when they first met.

Aw, I liked Logan's story! I thought it was cute how we saw a book from a different character's POV.

Logan's chapter was my favorite chapter. It made me wish his were longer, though. I do think it woudl have been neat if he had talked about something from when he was little or something. I liked Mary Anne's chapter, too. That was cute with her baby-sitter and Kristy and Claudia. Claudia's was really cute, too. I loved her butterfly drawing. This makes me want to re-read the whole book now. lol Geni

Those girls were some serious bitches. No kidding! Allison Ritz? Stacey decided to be nice and invite her to the sleepover, and Allison turns around and spreads nasty rumors about the poor girl after the "incident". Thought that was sad. Oh, and in the illustration of Stacey at the beginning of the chapter, her hair is absolutely straight. Made me wonder if she didn't start getting her oh-so-sophisticated perms until she moved to Stoneybrook.

I agree. I would have thought that Laine would have been more understanding. But did Allison actually know that Laine didn't really want her in their circle initially and that Stacey went to bat for her and got her in? Gosh, the stuck up crowd. I remember them in high school. If you happen to have eye contact with them they will roll their eyes in order to shift their gaze elsewhere. As for Laine's pics, she always looks stuck-up.

I hated Laine's character, even in the first half of the BSC series in which she and Stacey were friends. She was such a stuck-up snob.

Word! She was nice in "Stacey's Emergency", but not much else. Even in Stacey's Book, she seemed like a bit of a b*tch (when they were kids).

Well, I did like Laine's taste in gifts in Stacey's Emergency. The spider with glasses were pretty cool, and I did like her in Stacey's Portrait. Oh well, I just think that each author offers their own version of Stacey's best friend for a particular book and slaps on the name "Laine" on her.
As for the necklace, how did you get it?

The necklace came shrink wrapped with the book. I still have mine somewhere. I remember having to hide it from my little cousin, who would always try to steal it. I felt soo cool wearing it.
