I know you guys have Halloween and Thanksgiving coming up, but for some of us, the next big holiday is Christmas. I'd love for us to do a BSC Christmas this year, and I'm open to suggestions about what we could do.
My first thought is read and discuss the Christmas books in the weeks/month leading up to Christmas. Maybe we could do a secret Santa, cook some Christmas foods from the books and share pics. Thoughts and suggestions?

Good to see you on here, Kylie and thanks for this great idea post. Christmas is my very favorite time of year for the season and religious component. Anyway, we haven't done a card exchange in a while, I know that can be difficult for overseas members or people who prefer not to give out their mailing info, but there are e-cards. I think, maybe, there is also a way (or am I just wishing) for multiple people to add to/sign an e-card? I would be happy to help out if I can. I truly have enjoyed our past group projects and how they have brought us closer and been a lot of fun, too. Love the idea of reading holiday books together, maybe we could each take turns choosing one? Have our own read-a-thon of sorts Merry (early) Christmas and/or Happiest of (early) Whatever special December Holiday you celebrate

I'd be up for a Secret Santa! The Christmas and holiday foods from the books would be interesting (I've made some foods mentioned in the books before), but I don't remember any specific Christmas foods they mentioned.
Kylie, is Halloween not celebrated in Australia?!? I never knew!

Not traditionally, but people of course jump on the band wagon... some people are vehemently opposed though, saying it's too American.

I'm in as well. I'll do e-cards. I don't give out my mailing address online. What are good Christmas e-cards online?

^Buttercup, I use 123greetings all the time. There are lots of different free e card sites.

I was just wondering if any of you are/will be reading the Christmas LS/BSC books? It would be fun to read together.

I need to rearward The Big Weekend. Hopefully, I can rent some Christmas books of BSC/LS.
