Has anyone else read this book written by Ann? It's about a girl growing up in the 60s around the time of Kennedy's assassination. Her mother is obsessed with becoming famous despite her little talent. It's a little darker read but a good one.

I haven't read this one yet but would be interested in reading it! Does anyone have a list of her earlier compiled books (even the ones she wrote under a different pen name?)

Virgo, I read all of her early books, except for the pen name ones, earlier this year for my blog. Here Today is a post-BSC book, though. What pen name did she use?

It was under Ann M. Martin, not a pen name.

She used Ann Matthews when she was writing Punky Brewster in the 80s, maybe for others as well.

Yeah, I was referring to Ann Matthews (and didn't she simply use Ann Martin too?)
