Agree about MA. Maybe it is because I am a little like her with stuff like that. I always read guidebooks and tend to quote off facts when we go on vacation and Mom does it even more than I do.

I think they included MA's touristy stuff as a way of providing an "education" to the readers - and also to give Ann a chance to write about NYC, which she seems to absolutely adore.

I agree. I think these kinds of vacations just let Ann show off how great she thinks NY is.

The best thing about this book is that it gave us Ryan Mouse and Meghan Mouse.
Mallory is such a little freak.

^ haha but she's definitely the most entertaining! Who could forget when she wanted to be 13 instead of 11 because "life would be a picnic"

aw Mallory's adorable. I loved her in this book. She was so proud of herself in her art class! Then that b*tch Claudia had to make her feel bad!

^Yeah, Mallory was cute in this book with her little mouse story and wanting to learn how to draw mushrooms and cats wearing outfits and stuff. Claudia was such a b*tch. I already posted about how much she pissed me off in this book, but everytime I think about it I get mad all over again. Grrrr Claudia..

It seems like we're all Mallory fans around here... go the underdog! ;D
At least she didn't say things like "zOMG I'm so sexy, beautiful, sophisticated, chic and gorgeous. I hope I don't sound conceited LOLS! It's just true! Everyone tells me all the time!"

When they go to Chinatown Mallory leaves a snarky fortune on Claudia's table to make her see she's acting childish, and when Claudia reads it she gives Mal a dirty look. I don't remember what it said but thought that was funny.
I also like how she bought souvenirs there for every one of her brothers and sisters...aww.

Mallory may be a freak, but she is an endearing freak. I'll give her that.

I don't remember what it said but thought that was funny. It was a bit of advice telling you how to get along with people, I think.
