I don't think, I read this book, when I was a pre-teen/teenager. Maybe, I can find it in the thrift store, book sale, or garage in the summer 2011.

I would've liked it if he appeared. I would've liked to see the reactions of Mrs. McGill and Stacey.

^ Maybe Jean-Paul wouldn't tell Mrs. McGill that he was married. Granted, it's unlikely that an affair would occur in BSC land but it would probably be interesting to read about.

Ew. I wouldn't want to read about a married man having an affair with an unsuspecting woman. Maureen sounded pretty cool once she got her life in order. She would probably rip the guy's balls off if she found out she was "the other woman". Now that would be an interesting read.

I have only just read this one and it was a big disappointment. Kristy saying she wanted to visit as many cricket stadiums as possible got me totally excited because i adore cricket. Why then didnt she think about researching the game properly and finding out the rules. And as for saying it was boring and that baseball is more exciting?? I have been to lots of exremely exciting cricket matches where you barely breath its that tense (my mum and dad have even been to lords)
I would love to know what game she was seeing because England Vs Australia ashes matches sell out 5 years in advance (cant see that happening in baseball)...
I found the chapters in Stoneybrook really interesting far more interesting than the main storyline...

^ Am I right in thinking you live in Europe? That might be why. I don't, and liked the Europe chapters best.

I don't know psychoseal, baseball fans can get just as intense as any other sport. Kristy not liking cricket seems pretty realistic to me. Certain sports that are huge in other parts of the world just don't click with Americans. See also: rugby, soccer (despite what Abby tried to tell us ).

This is going to be a weird comment because I am sleep deprived from watching cricket last night My parents were born in India and my mom grew up following cricket. So when she came here she liked watching baseball because of the similarities, and then when I came along I developed an interest in baseball because I always knew my mom liked it. It kind of comes full circle in that when we visit India, I like watching cricket because it reminds me of watching baseball at home Having said all that, I think a lot of people who aren't fans of both sports get tripped up when they expect them to be almost interchangeable; like it's one of those wacky differences between British and American English. A biscuit is a cookie, a lorry is a truck, but cricket isn't baseball. Here in the US, when people find out I'm a baseball fan, they often reply with something like "I can't watch baseball, it's too boring/moves too slowly" so I thought Kristy finding cricket boring might have been a tongue-in-cheek reference to everyone who skips the Krushers storylines because they find baseball so boring. You can't argue that cricket doesn't move more slowly than baseball, but it being exciting and games (matches? I am such an ugly American) selling out years in advance probably have a lot to do with the national pride aspect, where there is no equivalent in baseball. Since professional American baseball players have only been permitted to play in an international baseball tournament for about five or six years, you can't really compare it to the popularity and history of international cricket. If you choose a random person in the world and ask them who they think St. Louis's baseball rival is, they are probably not going to guess Chicago, but basic knowledge of world history would make it a lot easier to guess the India/Pakistan cricket matches are a huge deal (or are they? I might just be very ethnocentric). tl;dr - apples and oranges

You mean professional leagues of teams besides the national teams that compete in the major tournaments? There are!
