^ I don't mind the dancing thing, either. For some reason, Jessi's chapter didn't really excite me in this one, though. Not sure why because usually I really like reading about the theater since I loved being on stage but never was able to do plays and also can't dance. But I had a little trouble getting into any of the chapters the last time I reread this one, so I will have to reread again when I'm in a different mood.

I thought the dancing parts was unrealistic but it didn't bug me because, well this is the BSC, half of it is unrealistic and thats why I love them! I never minded Jessi's dancing really because I was a ballet dancer myself for 11 years.

The Kristy/Stacey interactions were hilarious! Loved it! Oh lord, Mal, Mal, Mal. I hated the Shakespeare thing!!! I was so proud of Janine for sticking up to Jerry-the-Jerk. Did anyone else find it a bit weird for Kristy and Michel to be in the hotel room alone together? I mean, after the infamous steamy makeout scene with Bart who knows what she'll do next! ;p Overall this SS was ok.

^ When were Kristy and Michel alone in the room together? I don't find it weird because the makeout scene seemed so out of character for Kristy. But you might be right.... I maybe just never picked up on this scene since I don't remember it. ;D Loved Janine and also the Kristy/Stacey interaction. I actually minded Abby meeting the queen (though I loved seeing Vicki again) more than Mal's chapters.

^ I never even thought of the hotel room thing. Then again, I never liked them as a couple, so I wasn't really thinking along romantic lines when I was reading about them!

I didn't much care for this book, I found it boring after the first few chapters and the Stoneybrook chapters definitely threw off the European flow. Was this the book where Stacey and Robert had just broken up and they were all awkward to each other on the plane ride or am I thinking of another book?

^ This was the one with Stacey and Robert (I'm almost positive but not completely. Now that I think of it, I might be thinking of Aloha as those trips run together in my mind.) I never liked that part with Stacey and Robert. Of course, I don't like Robert, anyway. ;D

Yeah, European was when they had broken up. Aloha was when things were just tense with them.

I would have liked the playground chapters made into a separate book - maybe instead of MA and the Playground Fight, which I didn't care for anyway.

I thought I was really going to like this SS, but I didn't at all. I found it pretty boring. The only chapters I really liked were Stacey's. Jessi getting to dance when something happens to one of the girls AND her understudy?? Mal is related to Shakespeare? Come on. Give us a little credit. Couldn't they think of some better plots?
And the whole playground camp was a snore. But I did like that we got to see Susan Felder again. I really like "Kristy and the Secret of Susan".

^ I'm the same way Blossom with my thoughts on the entire BSC and this book, especially Kristy and Michel. I greatly prefer him to Bart. ;D I think my least favorite part of this one was the part about Abby and the queen. Not sure why Abby bugged me in this one. I did like seeing Victoria Kent again, though.

^ Totally agree about Abby and the queen bits. I know it was only to give Abby something to do, but it was way too far-fetched, even for a BSC book. I sort of feel the same way about Mal being related to Shakespeare, but I can sort of buy that since they appear to be extremely distantly related. But Abby and the queen? Just plain silly.
Oh, and I liked Michel a lot, too, much better than Bart. But I think it's because Michel's Canadian, so I'm a bit biased! ;D

I liked Michel better than Bart too for some reason. I liked he gave Kristy a hard time but also showed her his softer side.

Did Peter ghostwrite this one? Because I'll bet he had quite a laugh writing about Mal/Shakespeare and Abby/the queen. They are such goofy plots!
