Which babysitter do you think would move where ever place in the world? I think Mary Anne and Stacey would move to NYC or famous cities such as London, Paris, Rome. (Well, I see MA staying in Stoneybrook actually but that's for the who would live in Stoneybrook for life thread...) Jessi would travel around the world, dancing. NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Paris. Mallory wouldn't go beyond New England. Abby. I see her being in the Olympics. I don't know where they're held, but wherever it is located, she's staying there. Or maybe Long Island her hometown. Kristy would most likely stay in Stoneybrook, but she might live in Washington, D.C. for being president of the USA. Claudia would be traveling all over the place as an artist. I don't see her settling down. She'd stay at one location for selling artwork, etc. then moving to another. Shannon and Logan, not sure. Any ideas?

Shannon would live somewhere over seas. Maybe London or Paris?
Logan would end up back in Kentucky.
Mallory would end up in Boston or a big city. I don't think she'd end up in a small town.

Kristy and Mary Anne would favor New England. I think it'd be awesome if Kristy, like, raised a family in the woods of Vermont.
Jessi would have homes in NYC and NJ.
I could see Stacey in London.
Shannon would take frequent trips to Paris.
Abby I could see taking cross-country trips, and travelling to exotic locations, wanting to do it for her dad.
I like the idea of Mal in Boston or Philly or someplace like that.
I wonder if any of the sitters would like to go South! I bet Mary Anne would like Charleston, Savannah, New Orleans, Nashville...

Shannon in London or Paris is a good idea. And Logan in Kentucky. Mary Anne would love to go to the south. I can see her loving Nashville and Memphis and New Orleans and Charleston. so would Logan, I think...

Mary Anne would love Savannah it's beautiful and warm all the time, but I don't see her leaving and staying there permanently.

I see Jessi going back to Oakley after graduation and I see Mallory moving as far away as she could from her family-preferably to California.
For some reason, I see Mary Anne spending a year or two in France and Logan sowing his wild oats in Las Vegas.

I bet Mary Anne would like Charleston, Savannah, New Orleans, Nashville... I disagree...Mary Anne would never feel comfortable in the conservative, hot south...she'd end up miserable and become homesick for the north very quickly. Mary Anne would love to go to the south. I can see her loving Nashville and Memphis and New Orleans and Charleston. So would Logan, I think... I can't see Mary Anne enjoying the south...the south would feel too alien and uncomfortable for her...not to mention some of the racism that still often takes place in the south, which would frighten Mary Anne. No, I see Mary Anne as a northerner and a city person. And since she and Logan broke up, they'd be long gone from each others' lives by adulthood. Mary Anne would love Savannah it's beautiful and warm all the time, but I don't see her leaving and staying there permanently. Me either...Savannah would be too warm for her comfort and it would feel alien to her. Mary Anne is a northerner...I see her being comfortable in New York City in adulthood and raising her family there. My take on where the BSC would live as adults... I see Kristy and Claudia settling in Minnesota near Minneapolis in adulthood, although Kristy would attend college in NYC. I definitely see Mary Anne going to college in New York City and settling there for adulthood. For some reason, I see Stacey going further north to Vermont, Boston or Concord, New Hampshire on a full scholorship, then settling down there. Dawn, I see going to college in Arizona and maybe settling down in New Mexico near a large Zuni community. Abby and Anna I see settling in New Jersey...possibly Jessi also. Mallory I see ending up in Boston maybe living near Stacey. Shannon, I'm not sure, but I see Logan going back south and ending up in Kentucky again or maybe even Louisiana. I do see all the BSC visiting other countries in their young adult years.

Hmm, I could see Kristy staying in Stoneybrook and Logan would stay there too.
Claudia - New York or France or somewhere where there's a big art community.
Mary Anne - I think she would like living in DC maybe? I threw that idea to a friend who writes fanfic and she went with it. Then moving back to New York.
Stacey - London or Paris or Milan maybe stay in NYC.
Dawn - probably Texas, like somewhere in the middle between her two families where it's still warm.
Mallory - Boston, she liked MA when she was living there at Riverbend I could see her staying in that state.
Jessi and Abby - I don't see them settling down and probably traveling the world.
Shannon - over seas and possibly living with Stacey one day if they're at the same uni.

Are you familiar with any of these large southern cities? They have tons of history, beautiful architecture, great food, and she’d likely find them charming/romantic, plus her relationship with Logan made her appreciate southerners. There is plenty of racism and crime in the north that could “frighten” her or any of the girls, but let’s give them a bit more credit when imagining them as adults.

Hmm, I could see Kristy staying in Stoneybrook and Logan would stay there too. That I can't see with Kristy. Kristy's ambitious and would want to see the world. I can see her traveling extensively, then either settling down someplace in either Chicago or Minnesota or NYC or even Boston. She along with the rest of the BSC, would visit Stoneybrook every so often to see her folks and for an occasional reunion, though. Claudia - New York or France or somewhere where there's a big art community. Mary Anne - I think she would like living in DC maybe? I threw that idea to a friend who writes fanfic and she went with it. Then moving back to New York. That I can completely see...Claudia might even live in Italy...Rome, Venice or Milan for a while...lots or art and culture there. Mary Anne, totally...DC is very similar to New York City in so many ways. I have several friends in DC and visit there periodically. Mary Anne is a city person and I definitely see her living in NYC also. Are you familiar with any of these large southern cities? They have tons of history, beautiful architecture, great food, and she'd likely find them charming/romantic, plus her relationship with Logan made her appreciate southerners. There is plenty of racism and crime in the north that could "frighten" her or any of the girls, but let's give them a bit more credit when imagining them as adults. I prefer to give Mary Anne credit in where she would not spend her life following Logan around and she'd have her own set of preferences, not just echo Logan's tastes and preferences They broke up for good by the end of the BSC series, so Logan would be long gone from Mary Anne's life by their college years anyway. I see Logan moving back south and marrying somebody around the south. In my fanfics, I actually have Logan marry a Melanie Edwards from the Fabulous Five series and have two kids, but they later wind up divorced. 😁😁😁😁 Rare is the middle school romance that lasts a lifetime. Are you from the south, Booboobrewer? I've visited there and it's no more beautiful than New England or the midwest. I know people who grew up there and are accustomed to it love it...understandable. Have you ever visited Boston or NYC or DC or Chicago? Wonderful cities also with lots of history, architecture, great food and charm also...especially New England cities and DC...the south is not unique in that aspect. Not to mention the four beautiful seasons the north and midwest has. New England and the midwest especially has gorgeous autumns with colorful leaves and wonderful snow in the winter...Mary Anne loves that. In the canon books, she loves the snow and winter and would miss it too much in the hot south. True that there is racism and crime everywhere, but from my experience, the racism, especially the long history of Jim Crow, is generally more glaring in most of the southern states...not to mention the sexism under the guise of "antibellum" genteelity. I think Mary Anne would be quite uncomfortable and nervous there, especially around the tRump groupies still lingering, the Republicans that are prevelant in much of the south and the ugly confederate flags that still show up from time to time. And don't get me wrong here...I am not trashing the entire south and I know not all southerners are tRump groupies or Republicans or are racists. I was happy to see Georgia flip blue last autumn, which was great and I love Stacey Abrams, who has done wonders improving Georgia. But much of the south still has a ways to go to catch up...some of the vaccine refusal down there based on misinformation ignoring the science is appalling and a little scary. But I still think sensitive Mary Anne would still feel far safer in the blue north. 💙💙💙

^ please stop being politics into stuff. As far as I know nobody here likes to talk about it and to bring it into the BSC is really just annoying. I know I’ve been avoiding those posts like the plague. Not only that but if someone wants to see Mary Anne in the south they can. I feel like your invalidating everyone’s opinions on what they’d like to discuss.
Anyway, I like the idea of Mary Anne living in the south. There’s a lot of history and she would make a great tour guide,

Chill, Nancydawes...chill...like it or not, the BSC is involved in the real world and I'm just saying what I feel.
I'm not going to censor my feelings and thoughts just to placate others who don't agree.
You see Mary Anne happily cavorting in the south...and that's fine if you want to write fanfictions on it...no one is telling you not to.
I just happen to disagree with the south being all that and with the idea of Mary Anne merely following some middle school boyfriend south and just echoing his interests.
A tour guide for the south...really? Well...be my guest if you want. 😩
The only reason I can think of for book canon Mary Anne to go down south is to work to end racism, sexism and the Jim Crow mentality there.
And if it upsets you for others to disagree and to raise topics you don't like, you are free to avoid that thread and not respond, but please don't try to censor others' thoughts and opinions because you don't like them.
There is no need for you to be defensive if other disagree with you.
I have visited the south and it's really not the romantic, genteel Gone With the Wind image that some people mistakenly have of the south.
When I was there in the early 1990s, some people treated other races like "aliens" and there were lots of people still dividing themselves by race.
It was rather shocking to see...I have never seen anything like it in New York where I live or in New England.
I found most of the south a little frightening and a bit hostile and was relieved to get back north.
Sadly, Jim Crow still lingers in many parts of the south and it's not pretty.
Sorry if this upsets you to hear, but it's the ugly truth that I've experienced.
It's a horrid, sad fact that racism and the dark side of politics still exists in the world and no doubt the BSC ladies have encountered it.
The BSC definitely would not be apathetic or indifferent to racism and right-wing extremism as adults, especially the highly sensitive Mary Anne.
If you read the book Keep Out, Claudia, you'd see that all the BSC members are shocked by the Lowell's racism and that they do not shrug it off as "normal."
I see the BSC as real-world people involved in the real world.
That's a large part of why I loved the BSC so much...because they were not self-absorbed and were not oblivious to the outside world...including politics...and to the plight of others outside Stoneybrook.

Again, you misunderstand. Nowhere in my post did I say Mary Anne would follow Logan around. I said she may appreciate the south through her boyfriend. Mary Anne hated being cold in #41, and I have zero clue what the link is between Kristy and Minnesota. I’m not sure why you’re so fiercely defensive and preachy over fictional characters and pushing your own beliefs on them. The series was not overtly political and the threads that focus on their lives as adults can have discussions about that, yes, but you’re really taking it too far.

Mary Anne hated being cold in #41, and I have zero clue what the link is between Kristy and Minnesota. I think that one time Mary Anne complained about being cold was that she was upset because Logan wheedled her into going ice skating when she had plans to stay in and read by the fireplace and watch the snow. Anyway...I just think Kristy and Claudia, two adventuresome souls, love to explore new places. I have in my fanfic that Claudia wins a full scholorship to an art school there and Kristy has an opportunity to expand her business there...no "special link" needed. 😁😁😁
