No plans as of yet. Looking forward to my break from work and doing Christmas-y things. Reading BSC holiday books always gets me in the spirit.
What is on everyone's wish lists, if you made one?

We've made plenty of plans for Christmas. First, I've entered a baking contest in my city for Christmas goods. I doubt I'd win it, it's just for fun. I don't know what to bake! So many ideas... Second, we put up the Christmas tree in our house. We've chosen neutral colors. Gold, silver, white, brown, and white. we also added one of those ornaments where you could put pictures on it. There's pictures of each member in our immediate family. I think the tree is very pretty! Third, from the 21st to the 24th, I'll be staying with awesome aunt and cousins. On Christmas Day, I'll be celebrating with my immediate family and my mom's side of the family. As for wish lists, I'm hoping for BSC books to complete my collection (there's about 30, maybe 40 books I haven't read and owned). I'd like to have gift cards. Some DVDs of shows and movies I adore. I don't know what else.

I put up my tree yesterday. This year I put multicolored lights on it. I was tired of the all-white I'd had on it the last several years. Christmas Eve we will go see Jason's side of the family (grandma's house, then his mom's house); Christmas Day we're hosting my side of the family at our house. The weekend before Christmas my sister and I are doing a big candy-making day at her house and we'll invite our various friends and family to join us. Everyone goes home with a big tray of homemade candy, mostly chocolate

No plans for me. My family doesn't really do presents anymore except for the two kids. This may sound narcissistic, but I usually buy myself a few things around this time of year. Oh, I do have an excessive amount of Christmas themed pajama pants, so I'm gonna have to rotate those around for a few weeks. (Like I need an excuse to live in my jammies )Last night was navy blue with little red & white candy canes all over.

My family usually sees a movie on Christmas Day after presents. On Christmas Eve I would normally go to my grandmas but I think I might be working.

My family went to the movies a few Christmases ago. It was like the most packed place ever.

Just remembered another Christmas thing I'm doing - this weekend, I'm going with a group of friends to a big Christmas-themed event at a local historical museum.

^That's cool, candykane! The museum archives and library where I work is actually having a Christmas-themed program on Saturday, but I'm not working that day. I am doing something Christmasy on Saturday, though -- us "grown-ups" who take ballet classes together are going to see The Nutcracker. (I'm 35, and the others are 25, 29, and 30, but everyone else in our classes is age 11 to 18.) And I'm going to the museum staff holiday party tomorrow night. I've got a busy weekend.
My husband and I are visiting his parents for Christmas this year. Which will be fun, but not what you'd call relaxing. Flying across the country to spend a week with your in-laws is not relaxing! His sister and her family will be there, too, and that's exciting because we haven't seen our nieces since the younger one was born, and now she's two (the older one is four). Well, we've talked to them on Skype, but we haven't seen them in real life for two years!

I think I mentioned this last Christmas, too. My town does a living window display night in the downtown businesses. Employees and/or volunteers dress up and do stuff in the store windows, and then a lot of places give out small snacks like cider/hot chocolate/popcorn/candy canes. It is extremely low-budget and takes maybe an hour to walk through and look at everything. But anyway, I did that Friday night.
Oh, and every time I turn the TV on Elf is playing. Did Home Alone get retired, lol?

My town has a Christmas display also. It's an entire park full of those Christmas lights you see in people's front yards, shaped like trees or reindeer or whatever. Most of them are animated and you drive through the park to see them all. It's pretty fun. I would like to take my dog there and see his face.

I've never watched Elf.

It's called the Enchanted Forest. I definitely want to go to it with my in-laws again this year. One of my favourite parts is the three French hens from "The Twelve Days of Christmas." They are on the Eiffel Tower.
