^Seriously. I would imagine that even if they DID like his idea the best, they'd choose someone else as the winner just to save money on paying for vacation!

I chose Babysitters on board, I read that one so many times as a kid and never got sick of it. I loved the whole Cruise/Disney world part of it. It always makes me want to go!

I just read Baby Sitters on Board for the second time ever this morning. Now I am dying to go to Disney (though I'll pass on the cruise - I am a "Margo"). I think this is one of my favorite Super Specials. I liked so many things about it. It might be a tie between this one and Aloha Baby-Sitters because I like them both but in different ways - they seem different because #1 is like the "old" books of the series and Aloha is much more like the new ones.

It seems like we agree yet again aln1982. My favorite super specials are a tie between Babysitters on board and Aloha baby-sitters. I also agree with your point about how #1 is more like the old books and # 13 is more of like the new ones.

Baby-sitters on Board! is my favourite. Apart from it being just a fun book in general, the first time I went to Disney World was shortly before the book was published, so reading it is like reading about my childhood Disney World memories as well as the BSC's Disney vacation.

I haven't been to Disneyworld since I was 9 years old. I am due for a trip soon.

I've never been to Disney World or Disneyland. I feel so deprived!

Babysitters on Board seems to be a fan favorite. I'll have to read it again soon because it's never stuck out to me as one of my favorites.
Sea City Here We Come is definitely up there with Island Adventure as my favorites, though. I loved both of them as a kid, and I still love them today!

I wish I could take you all to Disney with me (will you come do my packing that I SHOULD be doing now? you can climb into a cabinet and stow away but I guess I will have to settle for watching for BSC sightings and looking around for interesting things to spy on like Mallory I might just have to read Baby-Sitters on Board again before we go. I plan to read Sea City Here We Come while on vacation and the other Sea City books, too.

The first time I went to Disneyland (1998), I brought both "Baby Sitters On Board" and "California Girls" on the plane with me.

I wish I would have had those books when I flew to Disneyland in 1999. It would have made the plane trip a little more bearable (Just call me Margo Pike though I didn't actually need the bag). This reminds me of another thing I loved about SS#1, which I didn't ever even read until last year. It cracked me up when the characters were gathering all of the free stuff and putting it in the barf bag (I think that was in this book unless I'm thinking of when Jeff Schafer did this in another book) on the plane and then taking all of the free stuff in the hotel - this is so me! It also reminds me of how my grandpa used to practically clean out the maid carts at hotels and bring back a bunch of useless junk just so he could be proud he "got it free" I love the vacation super specials, especially this time of year! I might have to reread SS#1 again on my way to Disney to get me in the mood, though I will probably end up sleeping the whole way (it's a 24 hr drive that we're stretching over 3 days since Dad is the only driver).

I am with hitz, we have the same two favorites. I suppose because we grew up together and sharing books, lol. Island Adventure will ALWAYS have a special place with me, I was obsessed with it as a child. That and Sea City, and I think it's because in a way, they were similar. Being stranded and having to "survive", I just ate that kind of thing up as a child! Chiming in on the Disney discussion, I've been to Disneyland once, when I was 15, but never to World. I'd love to go back as I truly don't remember it much at all! I would def bring On Board along if I went to either! And some Dawn in CA books if I was going to DL!

Does the BSC ever get stressed while packing for their super specials? Maybe reading one where they do would help me stop stressing right now Any suggestions? I remember Aloha Baby-Sitters having a funny chapter about packing and Claudia’s boxcar is always enjoyable to read about. Maybe this is why the vacation books are my favorite Super Specials.
