Okay, I found there was nothing on this character. I know, her first appearance was in "Stacey and the Bad Girls" and she only showed up a few times after that, but seriously, this girl wasn't just bad. She was definitely the worst of that group. I'm not talking about her appearance, although Stacey says Jacqui's permanent expression is a sly smile. Bad sign. I'm talking about the way she acts. We only ever see her through Stacey's or Robert's eyes, but she's always shown as either a flirt or one of those girls who likes stirring up trouble.
Also, anyone get the feeling that in her first appearance, she wanted to get Stacey in trouble but did it subtly (putting her wine bottle with Stacey's jumper) because the other girls didn't want to lose Stacey's friendship? I always got the feeling this girl was REALLY jealous. (I got the feeling Mia was on Jacqui's side there, but that's besides the point).
Thing is, after that book, I think this one was the only girl in the "bad girl" group that really got any proper mention afterwards. I know Sheila and Heather did, but only briefly. Jacqui is mentioned in "Stacey's Broken Heart" and shows up a couple of times in "Stacey's Ex-Boyfriend", then tries to flirt with Robert in "Baby-Sitters European Vacation". Every time, she's sweet around Robert, and sassy in the worst way around the girls. Did anyone else hate her as much as I did whenever I read about her, or was that just me?
