hmm, oh yeah claudia too. there's a lot more asians in the big cities who are studying at russian universities though. it's also less problematic for women as well, but still dangerous. i wouldn't walk around alone at night or anything if i were asian.
^ All of those foreign trips sound interesting. ;D I love the vacation Super Specials as they let me "travel" when I can't for real. I'm about to "go" to Hawaii. Or maybe just Sea City or CA or Disney. ;D

Oh, I think Japan would be dibble. In one book Laine mentions that she's been to Japan and Claudia finds it fascinating, and every time I read that, I was always like, yeah, I'd love to see the BSC take a trip to Japan.
ETA: This was after seeing Penny's post about it ;D
I'd like to see them go to Japan too or China. I went to Beijing my junior year of college and have wanted to go back ever since. I'd love to go to Japan too. I have a friend from high school that lives in Tokyo- her husband is stationed there. Maybe I will have to plan a trip to go see her, hehe.
^ That's how I feel too about liking anything. ;D Greer, Tokyo Disney is where I would go in Japan. (one of the places) ;D I think it would also be kind of interesting for them to visit MA's grandma in Iowa. I would love to see a lot of the girls - Stacey and Claud especially - on the farm. Imagine how Dawn would react to all of the steak-eaters, Mal and Jessi with the neighbors' horses, Kristy trying to make Verna's place more "efficient"..... ;D
it's a second theme park... it's pretty new. it had opened pretty recently when i went there. it has a martime theme, so there's venice, cape cod, old-time new york, an h.g. wells area (20,000 leagues under the sea (different from the disney world one though), journey to the center of the earth), an arabian peninsula area, and some others. www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/tds/index_e.html
