I saw that there's no thread for plot bunnies on this site, so I thought to create one just to exchange ideas for future BSC stories.
Here's a few of mine: What if Mary Anne, Claudia and Stacey made up sooner in Mary Anne Saves the Day and they team up to fire Kristy? What if Jristy is replaced by Dawn? I absolutely hated Kristy in that book and I always wanted her to get what she deserved.
What if the BSC lost the Pikes as clients after the way they treated Mallory in Hello, Mallory?
The misfits of Stoneybrook (Mallory Pike, Janine Kishi, Natalie Springer, Jackie Rodowsky, Jenny Prezzizzio, Andrew Brewer and David Michael Thomas; basically the series black sheep) all team up to investigate the source of the dreaded time loop. You can add more if you wish.
Have fun!

Cool idea!
Hmm, let's see...
What if MA and Dawn stopped being best friends and stopped considering themselves as sisters? I always thought they had a toxic relationship and they never truly acted as BFFs and sisters. Also, Dawn is a b*tch, as well as MA, so they are not really fit to get along...
In Claudia and the Phantom Phone Callers, what if Alan Gray WASN'T the "phantom phone caller" and it was an actual criminal? What if the criminal broke into one of the babysitters' houses or one of the clients' houses? What if they stole valuable items or even kidnap a child?
In MA Breaks the Rules, what if MA truly did break the rules by inviting Logan for the two of them to hangout...like hug and kiss? Not Logan being a male role model for Jake?
In MA and the Search for Tigger, Tigger was never found?
In Claudia and the Great Search, what if Claudia really WAS adopted? What would she do?
In California Girls, what if Jessi decided to be an actress and decided to quit being a ballerina? Would she live in Hollywood? Would she become famous or fail at acting? How would the BSC and Mallory and her family react?

Just a few others:
LS verse: Hannie and Karen got married- they set Nancy up with someone.
Ms Colman's class has a time capsule that is going on along side the finale book.
Future verse- Stacey's POV on 9/11. The babies the girls sit for eventually become sitters themselves.

Tired of Kristy's hypocritical antics, all of the BSC members team up to vote Kristy out of the club. Even Jessi and Mal (who are almost always neutral in club fights) vote against Kristy. Claudia and Mary Anne vote against her twice since she victimized them the most.
Instead, of treating Mal like crap in Hello, Mallory Claudia tries to warn her about the Cultish nature of thr club given how much they bullied her two books back.
In Mary Anne's Makeover, Mal, Jessi and Claudia take Mary Anne's side over her makeover and the club splits in two.
Richard and Sharon blows their top at Dawn of the abuse she hurled at Mary Anne in Mary Anne's Makeover.

I found this on the Connecticut government website: So, what if a law was suddenly passed in Connecticut implementing this? Imagine the rage that Mallory and Jessi would feel by missing the cutoff age for needing a sitter. Of course, this would have to be the last book in the series since the club would be dead, lol.

Dawn's attitude in "Dawn Saves the Planet" causing Stacey and everyone who thought she was horrible to decide they want nothing to do with her. Claudia, Mary Anne and/or Mallory deciding to be a rebel to fight against the rules they found ridiculous. Alma licking her cancer and not dying.

Ooh, what if Alma and Richard were still married when Sharon moved back to Stoneybrook? And then Richard and Sharon had an affair and got married? And then Mary Anne and Dawn were still step-sisters, but Mary Anne HATED Dawn because her mother was a home wrecker? The story just wrote itself.

As I said in the Mary Anne's Makeover thread: What if to make her so-called friends happy, Mary Anne decided to reverse her makeover by returning the clothes and makeup she bought and bought a long brown wig and going back to the way she looked in seventh grade. Bonus points if The b*tch Quartet of Kristy, Dawn, Claudia and Stacey are satisfied and allowed Mary Anne back in the club.
Whether she breaks up with Logan to score points with her "friends" can depend on the writer.

^What kind of friends would want you to wear a wig? Lol. Maybe the overcontrolling kind. Anyway, what about Claudia quitting the club for the sake of her memtal health when she went back to seventh grade?

What if Cokie Mason babysat Pamela Harding? At first, they would clash horribly for being a lot alike and trying to one up with each other. Just as it was as though they had pushed each other away, both Cokie and Pamela find out that both Kristy and Karen are their enemies and they start bonding over their hatred towards them. Pamela ended up being the only kid Cokie enjoyed sitting and she and Pamela would go on to be shopping partners.

That's a terrible idea. That's one of the fanfiction cliches of having Dawn and Mary Anne 'hating' each other. And no, they do NOT have a 'toxic' relationship at all! Sure, like ANY set of siblings, they had their share of fights and arguements, but they never 'hated' each other. I wonder why some people cannot accept the reality that stepsisters do NOT always 'hate' each other. It gets tiresome to see girls and women pitted against one another. That sounds awesome. BSC needs to be more like a soap opera haha Yuck. There are too many soap operas out there. What we need is more female-centered epics...especially where girls and women remain loyal to one another. It's tired and trite of having girls and women 'hating' each other. Ann Martin has hinted countless times that her books are meant to be an epic entered around female FRIENDSHIP, resourcefulness and LOYALTY to one another...not a cheap, trite 'soap opera' of girls and women 'hating' and betraying one another and acting stupid. What if Kristy is replaced by Dawn? I absolutely hated Kristy in that book and I always wanted her to get what she deserved. That would have been horrible and way too out of character for them. One of many things I loved about the BSC...they dealt with conflict in a FAIR and straightforward manner and when they had any fights, they fought fairly. So, no, none of that sneaking around behind anyone's back to get anyone fired. Never would Mary Anne, Claudia, Stacey or Dawn sneak around behind Kristy's back that way. That kind of sneaky, cheap crap is more fitting of a Sweet Valley book, especially Jessica and Lila's little 'unicorn' clique. The BSC is NOT the 'unicorn' club and Stoneybrook is NOT Sweet Valley. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ What there ought to be more of is BSC stories that are true EPICS centering around female friendship, resourcefulness, loving parents and teachers and loyalty to one another...not more silly soap operas of the BSC 'hating' each other and abandoning each other and being endlessly helpless victims. I have several BSC fanfics on FF dot net and four of the stories, each depicting a year out of their high school lives, is about the BSC as a LEGACY and a legend. They go through their trials, including acne, puberty and clashes with a snobby In-clique at Stoneybrook High, but they remain loyal to one another. I have them go to different universities, but they never forget their roots or each other. That's how I see the true BSC.

I've never read Sweet Valley, so that reference means nothing to me, but there is a lot of conflict between the sitters in the books, and much of what goes on between them isn't really what I would call fair. You seem to have a narrow interpretation on what is canon and how the characters should be interpreted. There's nothing wrong with that, but many fanfic authors can and have written some excellent stories outside of those confines.
