Why doesn't Kristy find extra members?
Even if she doesn't like the new people, having lots of backup baby-sitters could do wonders for business and give the regular club members a break.
I don't think Kristy necessarily "dislikes" new people...but yes, new members would help.
I have in my fanfics where the BSC gets several new members in high school.
I'm guessing that Kristy worries about doing so because she's had so many bad experiences, like the saboteurs from the Agency in The Truth About Stacey, or Wendy's lack of reliability in Jessi and The Bad Baby-Sitter.
I think
ALL of them worried about bad sitters, not just Kristy alone.
I think back then, they were a new club also just starting out, so they erred on the side of caution.
Do you think the girls should have asked Anna to be an associate member, since she was good with kids and quite liked babysitting?
I think they did ask Anna to be an associate member...but yes, it would have been so nice and would have added much more to the series to have Anna join.
In my fanfic, I have Anna along with a couple of other girls join the BSC in freshman year of high school.
I suspect SHS has an event greater variety and diversity of students.
It would be neat to see a couple of openly gay or bisexual members in the BSC.
A guy or two would be okay also...but it would be great to see a couple of non-stereotypical Latinas in it as well as a lesbian member and a couple of bisexual members during the BSC's high school years.
I imagine the current generation of the BSC now in 2021 has a huge variety of members at several meeting places being that I suspect Stoneybrook is even
more diverse and open than ever.
And I imagine that there are several openly gay and lesbian parents as clients now, including one lesbian couple who has twelve kids and are now living in Elizabeth and Watson's old house. 😀😀😀
I imagine the current generation keeps in touch with the original members via text, e-mail and regular phone.
Here are also a few new officer positions I imagine the current generation of the BSC having...
BSC Director...that would be the mega-president over several groups that meet in different houses around Stomeybrook, which has grown significantly since the days of Kristy and company.
The director would rotate at different meeting locations...currently five BSC groups in Stoneybrook...that each meet on different days.
The director has a requirement to be in high school.
Then with each group are the presidents...now the BSC has five presidents, five VPs, five secretaries and five treasurers.
There is also the Head Treasurer, Head Secretary and Deputy Director, who also sits in on a rotating basis and also must be high school age.
There are also three Transport Details...three members or more who are of driving age and provide transportation to events and meetings.
With each group, there are also Events Coordinators who plan BSC events...each of them work together and work out details via text, e-mails and phone call.
So...those are several of the new positions on the BSC today.
How things have advanced and grown since the 1990s. 😁😁😁
