What's your favorite LS book? I haven't read that many, only the beginning ones, I never even knew the series went into the 100s! But I always LOVED Karen's Tea Party where she goes to charm school and all. So cute. I also liked Karen's Baby (SS) and then wasn't there a SS where she went to a farm? Anyone remember that? I vaguelly remember it.

I totally love Tea Party. I used to read it all the time as a kid...
Others that come to mind: Karen's Sleepover Karen's Haircut Karen's Ghost Karen's in Love Karen's Cartwheel Karen's Big Weekend
Her super specials were also fun. I like the Plane Trip one (she visits her grandparents in Nebraska, maybe this is the farm one?), and the Summer Vacation one.

Karen's Wish is my all-time favorite. My family plays dreidel every year during Hanukkah (and as far as I know we're not Jewish) because I learned how from that book. It just brings back alot of happy childhood memories I guess. Actually my favorites are probably all of the "holiday" books written right around that time Karen's Little Witch Karen's Surprise Karen New Year Karen's In Love Karen's Joke

Heh, I was just going to start this thread today, but you beat me to it!
I've only read about half of the LS books (although I own nearly all of them), and a lot of the ones I have read I haven't reread in quite some time. At the moment, though, I'd have to say my two favourites are Karen's Worst Day and Karen's Two Families. There is one paragraph in Karen's Two Families that perfectly describes the worst thing about being a kid:
Seriously, it makes me cry. I'm sitting here trying not to cry! I also really like LS books with trips and holidays, though. 'Cause they're fun!

I haven't read many little sister books, but my favorite out of the ones I've read is probably Karen's birthday. I actually kind of liked Karen in this one. All she wanted was to have her whole family together...

I can't really decide which Karen book is my favorite - I like them all pretty well. I haven't read Karen's Tea Party but am now looking forward to it after reading this thread.

Oh, I loved Karen's Birthday. I liked the food they had at the little house party. My sister and I would argue about who is on the cover, Watson or Seth. I told her it was clearly Seth, he had a beard. I can't remember her reasoning for thinking it was Watson...

I actually also assumed it was Watson! To have both of Karens parent on the cover, or something. But you make a good point about the beard, it might be Seth!

I also assumed Watson but you're right - Seth is the one with the beard. I don't picture him with a beard so this was weird. Inge, I see you're now sitting for Charlotte - Congrats!

I think my favorite Little sister book...is a tie between Karen's angel and Karen's mermaid. Karen's angel is one of those books of mine that I read so many times the cover is worn.

I actually started picturing Watson with a beard sometimes because of that cover ;D looks like I'll have to forget that again. And thanks

Thinking about this question again, I think Karen's Worst Day might be one of my favorite LS books. I read it for the first time on what felt like my worst day and it instantly improved my mood. It's funny how the LS and BSC books seem to "speak" to me sometimes and help me deal with different difficult situations

I liked Karen's Tea Party and Karen's Plane Ride the best, mostly because they were the ones where Karen wasn't annoying. She was a bit of a brat with her snap judgements of the girl on the farm being "weird," but she got over it pretty quickly, and was actually pretty endearing with her dramatics about how boring the farm was, and Karen's Tea Party was so much fun, with the shopping for and attending charm school.
And, of course, Karen's Haircut, purely for the cover! Priceless, that.

Karen's Haircut is the only one I truly remember. Like mckay said, the pictures are so priceless. Gotta love the nice spiky mullet Karen ends up with.
