Nope, those are LS books. I've got the entire BSC series. Oh, but my copy of Kristy and the Dirty Diapers is also misplaced somewhere in my parents' house, so if anyone ever has an extra one of those, I'm looking for another copy of that book, too!

Thanks for letting me know. I was hoping we could help each other out. I have 4 more I'm waiting for to complete my regular series (yeah!) and about 1/2 the Little Sister. I just started collecting those so that could take a while. I noticed last night I need a bigger bookshelf again

Hehe. I realized a looooooong time ago myself that I will need to expand on my bookshelves as well. I already have 2 huge ones and I am running out of room.

Which book was it when Karen fell in the snow and punctured her spleen (or something) and had to stay in the hospital? For some reason it's the only LS book I ever read and I can't for the life of me remember the title.

I think it was called Karen's accident.

Thanks, msstock. ;D I'll have to try and track that one down next time I'm in a used book store.

I think it was called Karen's accident. I have that one but was just wondering the other day what it was about. I'll have to reread when I get home and back to my books as I remember liking it pretty well. Does it take place in the winter, though? I'm kind of in a summery mood right now ;D Maybe I'll read Karen's Roller-skates instead, another one I don't remember very well. I guess I need to reread some Karen books more. It seems like I've read a lot of them several times but not others. I hadn't realized that. I really like almost all the ones that I've read, though. I want Karen's confidence, energy, and enthusiasm - boo and bullfrogs I don't have it ;D

It does take place in the winter. I think she climbed into her tree house and slipped and fell on the ice.

I think Karen's Ruptured Spleen would have been a much cooler title than Karen's Accident.

If I had seen a book entitled "Karen's Ruptured Spleen" on the shelves, I'd have paid full price for it new. And possibly have the cover framed.

Karen's Newspaper, #40. It's just so funny. The articles the girls write about Hannie's dad's "spare tire" and Charlie's cheap present for his girlfriend, and then the tabloid-type ones about women giving birth to aliens and such seriously crack my nuts up.

I enjoyed that one as well. It's also where I learned the phrase "spare tire."

Me too! I didn't know what a spare tire was until I read this book. That was one of the funniest Little sister books ever!
