I made up a new thread about which Babysitters Club book would be the most implausible in real life.
I would go with Island Adventure, with Aloha, Babysitters coming a close second.

I'm torn. I agree that Island Adventure is the result of dozens of bad decisions and they shouldn't have ever gotten in that situation. But I also don't buy the BSC winning the lottery either. Can you even play the lottery at 11 and 13? So while Island Adventure seems improbable, California Girls seems illegal.

Adult me wonders which family actually claimed the winning ticket for tax purposes. My dad would buy us tickets all the time, so that part was very normal to me. However, we never won squat. I know the kids wound up on Potato Chip Island or whatever they called it, but I wonder how big of an area it was that it took so long to find them. It seemed like a helicopter should have been able to see the whole area quickly even if they weren't exactly where they were supposed to be.

^ That makes a lot more sense. I actually just read California Girls a few months ago, so I should have realized. I think it was Claudia's parents who bought the tickets, but they also seem the least likely to claim the winnings and then hand them right over no questions asked. They called it Nine-o-clock Island, but I like Potato Chip Island too

I'm curious.

Can I just say that I am not at all surprised at the poll? Getting stranded on a deserted island and winning the lottery are both pretty implausible. I think Island Adventure had some better setup than California Girls, but that's about it.

They were in Hawaii and got lost sailing to an island that was actually just a potato chip crumb stuck to their map. So I mixed up two odd island stories, lol.

I would choose between Island Adventure, Aloha, Baby-sitters and European Vacation. Island Adventure had bad choices made by adults all around from what I remember (like Jessi being left alone with her siblings for the entire weekend). For Aloha and European Vacation, they'd be travelling too far for middle school. If they were in college, I could see some members travelling to some European country for some course but not middle school.

Obviously I pick the lottery one. However, the entire school going on that ski trip is pretty implausible to me.
