I’ve been wondering what is my favourite BSC bitchy moment and the best one I can think of so far is in Claudia’s Friend where Claudia lets rip about Stacey in her journal and then accidentally lets Stacey read it Stacey’s response was very mature...but a tiny bit of me would love to have seen her lose it at a meeting What are your favourite BSC bitchy moments?

One of my favorite bitchy bsc moments is probably from Stacey vs the BSC! I just love her inner dialogue when she gets embarrassed by her friends and how at the end they have their big blowup about maturity and being cool.

I like the scene in Dawn and the Older Boy where Stacey is doing Mary Anne's hair all teased and crazy. Dawn says she wouldn't have to wear it like that everyday and Stacey says "well she should, because it looks a lot better". It's so funny and mean

Dawn loved Mary Anne, but sometimes teased her a bit too much. Typical, realistic sibling bond between Dawn and Mary Anne.

Pretty much all the time the older girls made jokes about seventh and sixth-graders. Funny, when Stacey stuck up for sixth-graders when Laine said they have no muscle control...though to be fair, saying Jessi has no muscle control makes no sense.
The moment that really stands out for me was the way the eighth-grade girls treated Mary Anne after she got her makeover. Jessi and Mallory never did anything, but they all treated her like a pariah, so she stopped hanging out with them. Then they got even worse because she spent so much more time with Logan! Did it never occur to them that she was only hanging out with Logan more because they were being so mean to her? And then after all that, they all said she looked great.

Not "all" the eighth-grade girls gave Mary Anne grief about her haircut. Mostly, it was Dawn, Kristy and Claudia who initially gave Mary Anne a hard time. But once they realized how foolishly they were behaving and realized that the haircut hadn't changed who Mary Anne was on the inside, they did come around and apologize and quickly reunited. One thing I like about the BSC...even though they had their share of fights over the years like ANY group of friends, they ALWAYS quickly made up and resolved their fights. They were very good about not letting fights or tension drag on and on too long.

Everyone else was fine to Mary Anne, except for the girls who made up that Carlos Mendez stuff.

^ Yes, me too! The prank with the secret passage is hilarious and petty.

I love that prank! I also love how Dawn never actually admits to Mary Anne that she was behind everything. I like reading about the drama between the Schafers and Spiers in this specific book.
Another favorite bitchy bsc moment of mine, is from the book Mary Anne Saves The Day, (which is another favorite book of mine) where Mary Anne calls each girl a mean name, and how at Jamie Newton’s birthday party, they stuff punch covered napkins in each other’s faces!

-Dawn writing the postcards complaining about Mary Anne -Claudia's rants about Stacey in the journal. -Also when I was in elementary school I liked when Kristy ignored Claudia after the big fight and how cold she was to Mary Anne. -Mary Anne telling off the girls..
That's all I can think of for now.

That was hilarious!!! Poor, skittish Mary Anne. I think that book was more comedy than drama, even with the bickering. I love that, unlike the Sweet Valley and some other teen girls series, the BSC along with the Girl Talk series never went too heavy with the drama.

The napkin scene was kind of funny also, although I'm glad they didn't ruin Jamie's birthday party. At the meeting fight, they all called each other names, not just Mary Anne. I'm glad that the books never dragged on their fights too long and I'm glad the girls were never truly mean AKA crossing the line into vindictive or truly harmful.

^ Now when I think about it, I agree with you about how Dawn's Wicked Stepsister is meant to be more comedic than drama!
