I haven't read that many Little Sister books yet, but I always liked Hannie in the regular BSC series.

amen to Hannie fans Lol though she could be a B**Ch at times (ahem Karen's Haircut ahem...of couser i guess I can forgive her, she was after all...seven). Nancy seemed sweet, and I always thought she was really pretty on the covers...(I wish i had her hair) Yeah, for some reason I liked Kristy better in the LS books...maybe because we saw a different side of her. I didn't DISLIKE her in hte BSC books...but...there's def a different perspective

Thinking about the Delaneys from reading Poor Mal makes me think that I did enjoy reading about Amanda because she was so snobby that it was funny and I loved her fights and conflict with Hannie. In Poor Mal, Kristy says that Karen is able to tolerate Amanda better than Hannie because she doesn't live near her all of the time, which makes total sense. Priscilla the big $ cat always makes me laugh, too. I have to say, though, that Melody seems much nicer. She is also not nearly as odd in the LS books as in the regular series. I don't really care for her in those books - toilet monster book - need I say more? ;D

aln I agree with you about Amanda/Hannie. They are really fun to read about. I love how Hannie is so 'scrappy' and spunky. I like in Karen's Kittycat Club how they can't get along at the meetings and Amanda freaks out when Pat the Cat tries to play with her precious Priscilla. I also agree about Melody, she's much more normal in the LS books and seems very cute.

I am one of the few people who isn't annoyed by the Toilet Monster thing. I don't really remember what Melody is like in the LS books. I need to read/reread more of them.

I love Hannie- she seems so cute with her roly-poly stomach.

I like Melody Korman much better in the LS books than the BSC. She seems a lot less odd, maybe because Bill is involved less and the toilet monster isn't mentioned (that did really bother me)

I always wanted the club to sit for Ricky Torres, like they did for Bobby Gianelli and Natalie Springer. I wanted to see what he was like apart from LS. Plus the only Hispanic family they ever sat for in Stoneybrook was the Martinezes.

Ditto on Kristy. She was so pretty in her illustrations and seemed really fun and wise.

It's fabulous, isn't it? One of my favorite LOL moments in the entire series. It was made by isabelquinn on LJ -- I had trouble deciding between it and another great one of a blonde Mallory.

Hannie is definitely my favorite LS character. She reminds me a lot of my best friend at that age.

I also liked Hannie for being ballsy enough to stand up to Karen. Nancy always seemed like she was willing to let her friends walk all over her. And I admit, I totally crack up every time I think of Hannie and Karen's "fistfight" in one of the books. Just the idea of a couple of seven-year-olds catfighting is hilarious to me.

The phrase "roly-poly" makes me think of a wormy puppy. Not what you were thinking about, I'm sure.
