Stacey's kinda the weak link for me in this. The Baby-Sitters Agency girls were rather cartoon-y. I didn't like Maureen, so that was consistent with the books. I was thrown off that they called Mrs. Newton by her first name.

I liked the bits of social media updates, and Stacey's embarrassment over diabetes takes new level when incident was also published on internet. I liked her decorating her monitor/pump and showing it off at end.

I liked the bits of social media updates, and Stacey's embarrassment over diabetes takes new level when incident was also published on internet. I liked her decorating her monitor/pump and showing it off at end. I liked her blinged-out insulin pump, and her dad's positive reaction to it. Which was kind of weird, because Ed McGill from the books is often a pretty crappy father due to his workaholism. I like this Ed who is pro-Bedazzling. It was infuriating that after Stacey explained the seizure video to their charges' parents and said that her diabetes was under control now, some of them were still wary about letting her baby-sit in case she had an emergency, until Dr. Johanssen stood up for her. What is wrong with you, parents of Stoneybrook? Why are you still so freaked out by the diabeetus? It's been a treatable condition for, like, a hundred years.

The parents are who really pissed me off in this episode. I'm sorry but if I was parent and I saw that a young girl was in a diabetic shock and everyone was recording it and not helping her. Then another baby-sitter that I thought I could trust, uses that against her. I get that they think that Stacey couldn't control it yet, but it's clear that she has. I'd be spreading bad things about the agency at this point. Thank you Dr. Johanssen!
Editing to mention the severity of Jamie playing in the street. Like come on, like in the book it was the dead of winter and he didn't have anything but a coat on. That would also set any parent off (or at least one that is adamant about that kind of stuff).
I really wish had an hour for each book.

Some of those parents were really judgemental of Stacey ! Agreed, that was ridiculous, like she fainted - that could happen to anyone, at any time. Did they think they were immune to health conditions? And that one saying 'What if my kid accesses your meds?' I hope they lived in a house with absolutely no medications, alcohol, cleaning products, etc. Helicopter parents!

It’s kind of like the Abby plot where she had a bad asthma attack, but wasn’t Kristy the one who freaked out and not the parents?

I'm rewatching a few episodes this morning. I think they gave the Baby-sitter's Agency girl a BSC flier in Kristy's Great Idea. This Lacey girl has horrible style. A melon colored cropped hoodie that she matched her hair clips to, a camel colored corduroy coat over that, and crazy heavy makeup. High school girls are always such villains to to these girls.
Who thought Charlotte was leading Stacey to Pennywise when she popped up with the red balloon, lol? Charlotte was rather babyish. She seemed younger than Karen.

Yeah, Charlotte seemed younger and she didn't seem as smart as Charlotte is supposed to be in the books. She looks very cute, but she didn't act very much like book Charlotte.

I too was put off by the fact that they called Mrs. Newton by her first name...it was a good episode. I loved the balloon scene with Charlotte. I thought it was gonna lead Stacey to IT...🤣😜 I loved MAs reference of “it” when they were wearing their sandwich boards. This episode had a lot of funny moments imo.

The agency’s marketing was so spot on for businesses today. The IT balloon reference was very clever! Dawn would hope those balloons were biodegradable.

Yeah, Charlotte seemed younger and she didn't seem as smart as Charlotte is supposed to be in the books. She looks very cute, but she didn't act very much like book Charlotte. Charlotte annoyed me so much! “I’m going to make a jewelry.” Really?! CRINGE!!!! They definitely aren’t making Charlotte seem as smart as she is supposed to be. Then she whines about the ballon and asks, “Am I bad?” 🙄🙄🙄 Book Charlotte would have picked up on then hostility between the girls and asked Stacey about it after they had left the Liz Lewis character. Lacey? Stacey’s mom was a jerk. She says at the end that she was just trying to protect Stacey, but her actions throughout really made it sound like she was super embarrassed by Stacey’s diabeetus. She had a cow when Stacey left Kristy’s emergency meeting and was like, “We’re you alone?! Did anyone see you?!” If you’re that concerned about health, wouldn’t you ask “How are you feeling?” Or “What are your levels right now?” Even at the end after Stacey’s courageous speech to the parent group, when she was feeling confident enough to bedazzle the pump, Maureen was like, “Ooohhhh it’s . . . blue . . .” I like that dad was super jazzed about it and did a dad dance. It also bugged me that, on the way to visit baby Lucy, they weee talking about the time they were born and Liz Thomas tells MA to ask Mimi, since her mom and Mimi were good friends. MA has been close to Mimi her whole life - wouldn’t she have always known that her mom was close friends with Mimi? I find it odd that this would be the first time it came up. Also, I always pictured Sam as a total hunk - this Sam was such a nerd.

Not sure if I buy this Maureen either, but she surely does look the part. I think the actress was a good choice, the writing was a bit odd.
Maybe it's just me but reading the books now I don't picture Sam as hot lol. I mean he's in math club and band is a stereotypical look at a nerd now but I don't know. I don't see Sam as particularly that attractive myself.
