I've always disliked book Stacey in part because it seemed like the boys luved her as much as she luved them. Seeing her act like a big dope around someone who barely acknowledged her made me hate her less. So many Pikes and so few memorable moments. I feel like Vanessa had the most lines, and they were just her poetry. Was the big thug triplet Adam? That's kind of how I pictured him in the books. Like, he's the one without any redeeming qualities. I like Stacey more then I used to and I really like that Stacey seemed more like a dope. I wish they stuck to the happy poems she had and not that bleak one she had at the beginning. Glad that it was fixed by the end. I think that thug triplet was Adam, mainly because that's how I see him too. Someone on the BSC wiki pointed out that Adam hardly has anything going for him. Like Byron had the sensitive big eater. Jordan was popular and a musician (well with the piano in book 5). I can't recall anything that Adam does in particular.

I could have done without this episode. It was the weakest for me .

Scott always seemed so old and dreamy to me as a kid, so it’s weird seeing him so young! Refreshing but still weird. Time is a trip. That was probably because Hodges led us to believe that Scott was a 35 year old man Byron was a cute wee one. Watson + Kristy makes me smile.

I would have liked to see more of Sea City. It would have been fun if they'd included the mini golf outing they took all the kids on, or even more scenes of them exploring the boardwalk.

Re-watching this and I am kinda embarrassed that I only just figured out why the Pikes aren't identical lol. There are probably very few 10-year-old identical male triplets who are also actors in the world

Stacey and Toby seemed a little rushed, even for Stacey! The Kristy side plot was cute. I like the casting for the pikes, especially Byron. I could see Byron having a crush on Stace. Toby and Alex were cool. The way the boardwalk/town looked was incredibly dissapointing. :/. An okay ep, but I think it was my least favorite.

It definitely felt fast, but it was sweet how Toby jumped in to rescue Stacey and took all the embarrassment from her. That wasn't in the books and it would explain why she had a sudden rush of affection towards him.
My idea of a boardwalk is college kids making a scene and neon-colored everything, so the muted colors made it seem more like an upscale seaside town and less of a spring break. I'm not mad about it though. My sister and I spent a day in Tynemouth several years back and it reminded me of that. (To UK people - is that actually an upscale town?)
