Kristy's Big Day is an adaptation of the sixth book in the series and eighth episode over all. Please discuss this episode here!

This is one of the episodes I was most interested in—I was curious to see how they’d handle the wedding pushed up and all of the kids. I’m relieved to see that they focused on the actual wedding and the feelings around it rather than the babysitting chaos. It was such a great episode!
This version of Kristy is so intense but I love her. Especially when she said she knew she’d gone too far but couldn’t stop herself—I feel like we read that in the series at some point but not in this book.
Karen’s reaction to Morbidda Destiny was priceless, as was Morbidda confirming that she is sort of a witch. I like that she wasn’t bothered by Karen in the least bit.
It still trips me out that periods exist in Stoneybrook.
Stacey ate cake and didn’t die! Yay 2020 understanding of what diabetes is.

I thought Kristy getting angry like that was supposed to be PMS, haha.

I love that we found out Karen's middle name! Amaryllis. Now I will be reading LS books and mentally hearing, "My name is Karen Amaryllis Brewer. I am seven years old. I have two pairs of glasses..."
secondhandshoes, I agree with everything you said. I love Intense Kristy, love Morbidda Destiny as "spiritual practitioner" performing the wedding ceremony (although I do wonder why no one warned Karen about that, as the way she feels about Mrs. Porter is not a secret), love the Stoneybrook in which periods exist and medical knowledge of diabetes treatment has progressed beyond 1986. I also love Kristy's bridesmaid dress, which looks very much like the dress I wore to my friend's prom.
Greer, I had the PMS thought, too, and I felt they were kind of leaving it open about whether that had anything to do with it. Kristy's a pretty intense person going through lots of big changes in her life, but it's also really likely that hormones were having an effect on her emotions right then, too.

Alicia Silverstone was so gorgeous here! ❤️ I didn’t think Kristy’s banana dress was that bad lol. Sharon and Richard are such a cute couple. I actually like show Karen which I hadn’t expected lol. Morbidda Destiny being an actual witch and related to Dawn is genius. I think I had seen that floated around as a fan theory a few times since Sharon’s maiden name was Porter. The writers clearly did their homework.👍

Karen Amaryllis. Well, it's not a good time to be a Karen, huh? I'd gladly go by Amaryllis.
Lol, why is Watson taking Kristy dress shopping? I'd have liked to see Nannie, but I guess they only needed one grandma.

I didn't care for this one especially Liz Thomas. The way she spoke to her daughter really angered me. So it's fine for Watson to get Charlie a new car, Liz gets a fancy wedding and she yells at Kristy for getting a new dress ? What the heck!
Why did Dawn and Sharon have to be late and arrive right in the middle of it ? How rude !

Yeah, it was like if you're worried about Watson trying to buy the kids affection, talk to him about it; but if it's about unnecessary consumption, why even have a wedding? Like, that dress was a drop in the ocean in terms of how much the wedding itself would cost!

It didn’t seem like an extravagant wedding. It was at the house, and everyone was smooshed into one room. I think Elizabeth thought Kristy was throwing money away since she couldn’t return the dress that she wasn’t going to wear. Charlie got a fancier car than he needed, but he still needed a car.

First of-the outfits were incredible. Kristy and Liz are so sweet, I want more!
Hey look, periods exist! The only girl thing they talked about in the books were bras lmho.
Karen my beloved!! She was great in the books, even better now.
The dancing scene was cute, and so were Richie and Sharon!
