It just occurred to me by the end of the series those that had birthdays early in the year would have been 14 already like Stacey whose birthday is in April.
was their ages ever mentioned in graduation day?

Interesting, maybe some of the girls have aged in by the end of the series.

I thought of that as well! They had to have been if they were graduating

Looking at their birthdays, Mary Anne would have been 14 just after the start of 8th grade. Stacey, Dawn, Abby, Logan, and Shannon would have been 14 by graduation, and Mallory 12. So I guess that would have been to much to keep track of, and confusing for the reader.

I think i just confused myself on this lol, let me see if I can keep track of this. I put their birthdays (m/d) in the parentheses to help keep track.
So in books 1-9 the girls were 12 and turned 13 during that time period with Mary Anne having her birthday last.
Then time stopped.
By graduation day (it's set in June I think) Logan (1/10), Dawn (2/5), Shannon (3/17), and Stacey (4/3) would be 14 on their graduation. Claudia (7/11), Kristy (8/20), Mary Anne (9/22) and Abby (10/15) would turn 14 after their graduation still making all of them 14 as freshman. Assuming the graduation happens at the end of June, Jessi and Mallory would both be 12.
Whew that is a lot to keep track of. ALthough I did realize that Abby's birthday was majorly messed up in the books.

Looking at their birthdays, Mary Anne would have been 14 just after the start of 8th grade. Mary Anne was just 13 at the beginning of 8th grade, not 14...the book mentions that it was her 13th birthday and that she is the youngest of the first four members of the BSC and younger than Dawn. Many school districts do allow a student to start kindergarten before their fifth birthday. I have a niece whose birthday is at the end of September and she started kindergarten before she turned five. So, it is not unheard of to have a 13th birthday after starting 8th grade.

It’s already been determined that Mary Anne and Abby would turn 14 after high school started just like they turned 13 after middle school started.
