Aww I like it! Both Amanda and Hannie look so snooty. Plus is this the first time we get to see either of them in the LS graphic novels?

Hannie Was In Both GN "Karen's Witch" And "Karen's Rollerskates". Amanda Was In "Karen's Rollerskates" With Shannon Too.

I like how pissy all the cats look. Those are really bland outfits for three little girls.

I read a preview of Karen's Witch, like the first 10 pages. It was cute. I feel like I would like these more that the BSC ones for some reason. Maybe because the stories are simpler?

Anyone read this yet? I just read it recently (in ebook format because the library wait list was shorter for the ebook, lol). Priscilla's been bumped up from four hundred to four thousand dollars 😁

Omg lol! The Delaneys probably just wanted her as a prop, to display on the grand piano.

Inflation, lol. Four hundred dollars isn't much for a purebred animal anymore. This website is a Persian cat breeder site. They say they start their kittens at $3000. Good Golly Miss Molly would cost you $7500.

I decided to do the math and (according to 60 seconds on google) $400 in 1989 is worth about $900 now. They didn't just adjust for inflation, they dialed it waaay up, haha.

I liked seeing all of the cat shenanigans illustrated at the meetings. Boo Boo had the cutest stumpy tail! (My old gal had one, too. Hers was likely a birth defect.) One random thing that they did not change from the original was Karen’s Saturday morning lucky trinkets that she loaded up on. In the original she had an orange rabbit’s foot that she hooked to her belt loop. She said that it was losing its fur because she patted it so much. In the GN they showed a picture of a (labeled as fake) pink “rabbit’s” foot with 3 toes. I don’t know what kind of alien animal it was, but that was no rabbit. Lol. (When I was Karen’s age I had one that I think was purple? It was definitely dyed an unnatural color, and it was a real taxidermied foot.) Everyone questioned who the random Fun Club girls were in the original book. This showed a picture of some of the desks with name tags in Ms. Colman’s classroom. One of them clearly said “Casey F.” That wasn’t one of the Fun Clubbers' names, but it also wasn’t a classmate that we’d heard of. One thing that I don’t like about these graphic novels is that pretty much everyone besides Karen has completely changed in appearance. It makes it hard for me to figure out who is who.
