^ Me too. The one thing I don't about Nancy is when she gets whiney about not being "invited." Karen and Hannie's fight makes me laugh every time. ;D I'll have to reread this one soon.

i loved the song that hannie sang at recess during their fight: "oh how i want skates, before it's too late...oh how i want skates, it's karen i hate". i even have a tune in my head that i imagine it being sung to.

OMG I totally had a tune I set that song to, too! I just made it up though. Anytime someone in an LS book sang a song, I created a little tune for it. hahaha, fun stuff...

I just read this one. I thought it was funny with Hannie and Karen's fist fight and Nancy and Ricky pulling them off of each other. Then the whole "I'm sorry" notes, Ms. Colman made them write. And I love the song! So cute! I always thought Hannie was very much like her age. I also have a tune!

That fight was the funniest thing! Karen had quite a right to be mad at Hannie though. I felt so bad that they spent more putting on the carnival then they made out of it, but at least they contributed! And agree about Natalie, some of her comments were warranted Karen's thoughts, lol.

Natalie reminds me of Luna Lovegood I never thought about comparing them, but you are so right! She is Luna Lovegood, at age 7!

Haha, this book is great. I love Natalie Springer. Isn't this also the one where they have an author signing and Andrew calls he/she an "arthur" to which Karen says, " Author, Andrew. An Arthur is just some guy." Are you kidding me?!?! I never read this book, but was just reading this thread, and I actually said that myself, before! I came home from school and told Mom that an 'arthur' had been to our school. I was like 'guess if they were a boy or a girl?!' and she was like 'a boy' and I was like 'How did you know??' and she was like 'well, you told me his name was Arthur'. I was like 'No, Mom, AN arthur!' She was like, 'You mean an author?' ;D haha, funny to think that Andrew and I made the same mistake! (I was older than him though) lol

Andrew's mistake probably also reflects a New England accent.
