I really liked this one because I always wanted to "solve" a real mystery and thought it was cool Karen got to. Admit it is pretty unplausible that she just happened to come across this one but without that, there wouldn't have been a story ;D I always tried to "spy" when I was little and would have loved to have done the things Karen did in this book, even though some of them were pretty dangerous. I never got to see anything good happen, though, darn it ;D I also thought this was a pretty cute cover. Made me think of the binoculars I "had" to have for "people watching". Didn't ever get a chance to use them, though.

When I was younger I used to like to try to solve mysteries and all that. Of course I never was able to but I still had fun.

^ Glad to hear I'm not the only one. ;D Guess now I'll have to settle for solving them by reading the BSC and now it looks like the LS books have some good ones too ;D

The LS does seem to have good mysteries too. I like them too because they are kid mysteries and are fun.

This was so ridiculous. Cute, but I definitely rolled my eyes a few times while reading it.
I bought my mom a small pair of binoculars for her last birthday, kind of as a joke, because she likes to "know what's going on" around the neighborhood. I think she has used them a few times. ;D

This book was so cool (Karen was the only seven-year old I knew who had her own bank account), definitely one of the best LS mysteries ever, with the Chicago one coming in second (the lamest mystery was when the "Three Investigators" were trying to find Emily Junior, booring!). I also loved the spy notebook she wrote in when she played detective. For months after reading this, I would spend loads of time spying and writing in a notebook just like Karen lol. And of course we get a Hannie-Brat moment when she refuses to believe Karen about someone snooping around Nancy's house even though she told her like three times lol.

^ I loved it how Karen could say "see" at the end (even though I don't remember that she did, I felt like saying it to Hannie ;D) I also agree that Karen's Mystery was really boring. I never read this one as a kid but did try to keep a spy notebook. Didn't ever have anything to write in it, though ;D

I didn't really have much to write in mine either, I just made up random stuff lol.

I am now giggling thinking about the part in The Long Secret where Beth Ellen thinks there are little tiny rocks that fall out of your uterus...

Was this the one where Nancy and her family go out of town and someone stays over their house?
