I was very disappointed that the divorce wasn't talked about much either.

I wish that the book talked about the divorce. I liked reading about how Karen met Nancy and Hannie.

I read this book, long time. ago. I'll have to reread it. (once I find it in a thrift store or garage sale)

There wan't much talk about the divorce. I kind of understood that because Karen was probably too young to remember what happened.

I thought it was funny how, during Seth and Lisa's wedding, Karen "daydreamed" through the whole thing. AKA she was BORED. Weddings are boring for kids. I'm glad that Stephanie (the ghostwriter) skimmed through the whole thing rather quickly.

When I bought this book (it came with a bunch of BSC books from ebay), I thought it wasn't very special for the 100th book in the series, but after I read it, I thought it was close to perfect. It finally told (well, skimmed over) how Karen met her BFFs and how Lisa and Seth met. I agree with others - I with the divorce was mentioned more.

There are two different threads for this book. I didn’t know which one to dive into. This was quite enjoyable. I’m wondering if all the board members who were pushing for more divorce details have parents who are still married. I love that Karen decided that she was ready to be born at a garage sale. That sounds like something that would happen in my family. This house was close enough for a 9 months pregnant lady to waddle over to, so I’m wondering why the neighbor dude didn’t drop them off at home. They could get Lisa’s overnight bag and Watson’s car. Lisa probably had one contraction, and the men freaked out. Karen wasn’t born for hours later. Neighbor guy gave them a chair that had been in his family for generations. His parents had it when he was a baby. Karen was all “Guess what? We still have that chair.” First of all, I don’t think that it’s that impressive to keep a piece of furniture for 7 years. Second, she went on to say that Shannon and the kids basically trashed this chair in that timespan when the other guy had it for half a century or more. I loved the courtship of Lisa and Seth. (Particularly because so many people on here have insisted that Lisa must have cheated on Watson.) Lisa wanted some bookshelves built and liked Seth’s Yellow pages ad. He spent a few days at the house building the shelves while he and Lisa got talky/flirty. Then he conveniently forgot his hammer on his last day and got invited to stay for dessert when he came back for it. Then Lisa asked him to build shelves for Karen’s room (“I did not even know I needed them.”) She kept coming up with more things for him to build while he did some home repairs for free. When they finally went out on a date he made Lisa some flowers. Out of wood. They’ll never die. ETA: Watson had a type. Lisa and Elizabeth looked like the same person in this book. Elizabeth is the first picture. Lisa the second. (Bonus shot of tiny Hannie dressed as a sailor.) Attachments:
