So I recently read a few of these and discovered that the timeline is different. Mallory joins in book 5, Jessi and Logan at the same time in book 10. Then completely skipped books 9 and 2.
I’m not sure if I liked this or not. As much as I do t really care for Jeff, his character is completely gone. Then have stacey end up moving anyway is going to be different.
What do you guys think?

It is a bit confusing. I so wish they'd allowed the BSC to age every twenty or so books...go on to high school.
The Harry Potter series did that.

The girls not growing older is a criticism of the books. I wonder how the high school structure is (like what time does school start. I remember in a book, school ended at 2:30 pm or something close to it). Plus I would've liked reading about them applying for college .

That would be a cool idea, I could see Mary Anne struggling what to write in her admissions essay or Kristy trying to find a quiet place in the house to write before going down to the library lol.

I remember in high school, some teachers were more popular than others when asking for a recommendation. I wonder how many teacher recommendations they would've needed and which teachers would've been popular or unpopular.

And also them in college and also the next generation of the BSC. Most of their senior year would be taken up with uni planning and looking forward to adulthood. And they'd go over old childhood trinkets while packing...the things they'd re-discover about their pasts! A subplot of their senior year would be planning and training the next generation of the BSC. A flu epidemic would go round Stoneybrook around February that senior year and the next generation is called on to substitute for a couple of weeks as their test. High school is so fascinating and a treasure trove of story ideas. That would be a cool idea, I could see Mary Anne struggling what to write in her admissions essay or Kristy trying to find a quiet place in the house to write before going down to the library, LOL. That would be interesting...Claudia would definitely be on the lookout for art schools, not wanting to go to a conventional university. Kristy, Claudia and Abby would be especially eager to leave Stoneybrook and get out into the world, much as they loved growing up there. Stacey and Mary Anne would be looking forward to it, but I think they would struggle more...fearful of homesickness. Stacey would be a little afraid to leave her mum, who she is so close to, but her mum and the other BSC would give her the nudge she needs.

I can just see all of the BSC going to Mrs. Martinez because they baby sat her kids a few times (I think there was more after mystery 24 right?). I don't know if she'd be popular or not for recommendations to come her way a lot. How many they need is probably dependent on the school they applied to in college.

True. I think the minimum required (teacher) recommendations regardless of college choice was three in my high school.

I wonder how many teacher recommendations they would've needed and which teachers would've been popular or unpopular. I wonder also, Anzuhana. There would be a slew of new teachers in high school. I already have interesting fanfics for what SHS's principal...a woman...would be like. ☺☺☺ True. I think the minimum required (teacher) recommendations regardless of college choice was three in my high school. Mine also. Oh, the rich potential for plotlines. I have one fanfic where Mary Anne does have a close relationship with her freshman and sophomore English teacher and school newspaper faculty proctor.

It makes me wonder what the teachers would write about the BSC. Outside of the usual like wonderful in class, that kind of thing. Something that would be unique to each girl.

Nancydawes, I also went to a community college but I applied to both a community college and a four year college, so that might've been a factor.

Also...BSC the next generation. I think maybe Becca would be the next BSC president with Karen as the VP, Charlotte as either the treasurer or the secretary.

I've started acquiring some of these. I assume that they are a cohesive story from one book to another. I should read them in the order that they have been released instead of by original series order? I wonder how many they'll do. Two releases per year is not making a dent in how many they have.
