In their older adult years, who is likely to attend synagogue services on a regular basis?

I picked Abby because she is the only Jewish character. However, for some reason I could see Mallory marrying a Jewish guy and going to synagogue with him. Maybe that's based on the stereotype of Jewish people as nerdy intellectuals though.

I voted Abby and Anna, they're the only two who are Jewish (they'd mention it if the other girls were).

I didn't notice Anna being in the poll too. I was thinking just BSC members. I could see her as well.

Maybe that's based on the stereotype of Jewish people as nerdy intellectuals though. It is based on a stereotype...Jewish people come in all races, walks of life, appearances and lifestyles. There are plenty of people who are non-practicing Jews also, which is the case with most of the BSC. Reading the books, the feeling I get is that Stoneybrook has a strong Jewish presence that does not fit the popular stereotypes. Not all Jews shun Christmas and not all Jews look alike either. Mallory could well become a practicing Jew like Abby without marrying...I do remember reading that the Pikes were Lutheran religionwise. I remember one Christmas/Hanukkah book where the Pike kids participated in a Nativity play at a church and I think Jessi, another gentile, explained the details Nativity to the rest of the BSC. I suspect most of the BSC members are each a mix of different faiths. I do get tired of stereotypes that so many people still believe.
