Could be anyone from Stoneybrook, not just the BSCs parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Newton always struck me as good parents and I liked reading about them. Then I like Maureen and her arc along with her bond with Stacey.
Least favorite wise, probably the Schafers. Client wise maybe the wilders, I don’t like how they were constantly pushing Rosie.

Watson is one of my faves. I love his relationship with Kristy. I also liked Richard and he and Sharon were a sweet couple. I agree about Maureen and the Newtons too My absolute least favorite parent is Kristy's dad! The Hills also seemed pretty awful

My favorite parents are: Watson and Elizabeth Brewer, Richard Spier, Mrs. Johansson, Mr. and Mrs. Newton, the Perkins, the Papadakis' and Maureen McGill.
My least favorite parents are: the Hills, the Pikes, the Kishis, Jenny's parents and the Lowell's.

My absolute least favorite parent is Kristy's dad! The Hills also seemed pretty awful. Agreed...I love Watson, Elizabeth, Richard, Sharon, Maureen, Rachel and most of the BSC charges' parents. Among the least favorite parents...Lyman Bruno and that one girl's mum where Dawn babysat when she first moved to Stoneybrook. The girl, Sandra was struggling with reading and the girl's mum kept forcing her to keep reading out loud as if that would cause her disability to magically "vanish." Then failing to tell Dawn about Sandra's retention, but stupidly leaving the letter out where Dawn saw it...Sandra could have seen it accidentally also. Some may disagree and maybe it was not the best thing for Dawn to look at that letter, but Sandra's mum was wrong to blame Dawn for the mismanagement of Sandra's disability. And the Lowells were horrible also...thank goodness the BSC didn't do any more business with those racists. But overall...most of the Stoneybrook parents were great and were caring. And I loved that there were hardly any helicopter parents in Stoneybrook.

Omg I forgot about the Lowells and Mr. Nicholls. Remember how Mrs. Lowell was so racist she took her children to a concert by Stoneybrook kids and she made them leave when she found out they were playing songs from Fiddler on the Roof!! What a psycho. I used to dislike the Kishis but now as an adult I have a lot more sympathy for them. They were pretty lenient parents and they just didn't want their daughter to be semi-illiterate.
Oh and I didn't like Sandra's mom either. Did she not realize Dawn could have seen the letter by accident? And not telling her daughter about being held back a grade until the last minute seems like a terrible idea..

What a psycho. I remember that one...and in progressive area with a large Jewish population. I hope the kids were able to escape that racist home and escape the disease of racism. Oh and I didn't like Sandra's mom either. Did she not realize Dawn could have seen the letter by accident? And not telling her daughter about being held back a grade until the last minute seems like a terrible idea... Yes, Sandra's mum handled things horribly. I hope Sandra got the help that she needed...it sounded like she was dyslexic.
