And here is Susan Felder today in 2021 as a thirty-three-year-old adult...
Today, Susan has made great strides from her days as a non-verbal charge of Kristy's.
She is now moderately verbal, although she still needs extra time to respond to others' communications with her.
She still plays her piano for hours at a time and now the violin and she still has an uncanny knack for accurate calendar date memorization.
In addition, she has an extraordinary sharp, detailed knowledge of historical events.
She streams and podcasts music for various company presentations for her living.
She today lives in Stoneybrook...she never had any desire to leave Stoneybrook once she completed high school...never married, has no kids, but will soon be an aunt to her sister Hope's daughter, who is due in July.
Hope is living in Rhode Island and the two Felder sisters see each other every couple of weeks for lunch or dinner.
Susan lives fairly independently and bought out her parents' old house when her parents moved to a retirement community near the outskirts of Stoneybrook, so Susan now lives in her old family homestead.
Twice a week or so, she attends an autistic group workshop to touch base with other individuals with autism and to keep her basic daily living skills focused.
