In her latest blog entry she wrote:
So she must have been getting negative feedback about her negativity. Although there are a lot of people out there who believe that Tiff is BSC Queen and anybody else with a blog or anything that reviews/snarks books is copying her. And they insist on writing ANM when it is AMM.

To me it seems like Tiff is getting nastier and nastier in each blog. I really haven't been enjoying them as much as I used to.

(I'm probably missing something really obvious here ;D) The snark really bugs me - I can't see why people waste their time. Then again, I guess everyone has a different sense of humor and some get their enjoyment out of belitting and making fun of things - kind of like middle school girls. ;D

Tiff started the "ANM" in her blog purely for fun, I thought. But then people got confused. I do enjoy snarky stuff about the BSC (except when it crosses the line and becomes outright nasty), and well-written parodies on ff.net, and it's not because I believe the series and/or the characters should be belittled. IMO it's a good thing to not take the books too seriously, especially now that I'm an adult...but I still heart the BSC. Very much so

Aln, I dunno if I'm pulling this out of nowhere right now or if its the real explanation, but I THINK they explained that Tiff started using ANM instead of AMM because it was easier to say/think. Like Ann M, instead of A, M, M. I thought it was dumb but after explaining it like that now it makes sense.

I think it's just as easy to write Ann, and then no one gets confused. i hate seeing ANM everywhere.

And if you're going that route, wouldn't it be "AnnM" or atleast "AnM"? There's no name starting with N! No capitol! argh!

Yeah, ANM bugs me too. I'm like, 'it's AMM! NOT ANM!" But oh well.
I do like Tiff's blog, but, like some people were saying, I can't help feeling defensive when she snarks on some of my favorite books, or characters. I hate the whole 'Dawn is a b*tch, Kristy is a lesbian, etc,' It just bugs me! DON'T TALK ABOUT THEM LIKE THAT! lol. It's like my friends, if someone was saying that about them, I would defend them.. so.. yeah. lol.

^ It also bugs me when it's implied that Stacey's slutty or will be such a sl*t once she grows up.

I agree, I forgot to say that one. And how people go on about how Claudia is sooooo stupid, etc. I agree that it is funny to exaggerate on their characteristics, but there's a difference between a little poking fun and full blown out meanness.

i like bsc_snark snark better, because i feel like the people there are usually True fans of the bsc themselves.
