We have talked to death about which club members would live in Stoneybrook later in life, but which parents do you think would actually still be living there? Don't forget that the parents were late 30s to early 50s. That's a lot of life left to live.

I think Watson (with or without Elizabeth) and the Pikes are lifers. Anyone else I can see leaving.

Interesting. I can see Maureen leaving because her family is so small and Stacey would probably want to go back to NYC.
I can see Sharon moving back to California because both her kids peaced out, and a story about Richard’s decision to follow her or not would be compelling.

I voted for nearly all of them staying lol. I mean Sharon and Richard is a maybe, they liked the idea of moving when the opportunity was presented in the friends forever series. However, Sharon did move back to CT to begin with to be close to her parents. So if they do move, I don't think they'd go very far. Maureen would stay, I think she said that she liked the small town feeling in a book right? Although I imagine her moving to a condo or something.
The ones I can see leaving are the Ramsey's, I can't see them staying and probably leave for Oakley to be closer to family. Mrs. Stevenson might go to NYC or retire to Florida (to be with her sister) or decide to skip the country because she can. I could also see the Kilbournes leaving as well. The Brunos might leave for Kentucky.

I feel like any of the ones that moved in during the series could easily move back out. My thought on Maureen was she was just getting her foot back into the working world. She could seek advancements and have to relocate in 5 years time. I don't picture her uprooting Stacey again. Sharon and Richard already threw the idea of moving out there. I kind of see the Kishis moving somewhere else when they hit retirement age. Again, not uprooting their children, but long after the nest was empty. The Brunos, Ramseys, Stevensons could very well go back where they came from or relocate again for new jobs.
On the flip side: The Brewers had been in Stoneybrook forever. Watson wasn't going anywhere. The Pikes would have deep roots/connections after raising 8 kids in that town. I don't think they would leave.

I can definitely see most parents remaining in Stoneybrook for life.
They mostly raised their kids here, now are older and would not want to uproot themselves to move someplace where they didn't know anyone.
I see Elizabeth and Watson moving to a smaller house once all of their kids moved out, but still leaving room for their grandchildren to visit.
For some reason, I see them living near Lisa and Seth.
I also see Rachel maybe moving to an apartment or condo once her twin daughters are grown also...maybe Maureen also once her daughter is out on her own.
I can see maybe the Pike parents moving to a smaller place once their kids are grown, but like Watson and Elizabeth, leaving room for visiting grandchildren.
I have a fanfic from long ago where the Kishi parents occasionally rented out their basement and rooms out to university students once Janine and Claudia were adults.
Perhaps Sharon and Richard rent out their basement periodically.
The parents I see moving out of Stoneybrook are maybe the Kilbournes and definitely the Brunos.
I have in my fanfic timeline where the Brunos move to Bridgeport, Connecticut because of Lyman landing a promotion there when Logan is in eleventh grade.
The Brunos move into Taffy Sinclair's old house, which is pretty big.
Then once all three of the Bruno kids are grown, Lyman and Louise move back to Kentucky, especially once Logan's uncle arranges a farm management job for Logan and a job at a yard goods store for Hunter.
That's my take on the Stoneybrook parents.

I can see the pikes deciding that they’d keep their kids rooms exactly as they were so when they come and visit they can show their kids.

I feel like any of the ones that moved in during the series could easily move back out. This was my first thought as well. Maureen moved literally three times in like 28 books so I don't see her having any discomfort picking up and starting fresh. Sharon and Mrs. Stevenson both also moved to Stoneybrook to leave a relationship in the past, so they seem like the type to appreciate clean slates. I could picture both of them not putting a ton of emphasis on the where. I don't see the Ramseys moving soon since their children are the youngest by quite a bit, and with Aunt Cecelia moving in they seem pretty settled. Of the families who were originally from Stoneybook, the one I think is most likely to leave is the Kishis. Their children are the oldest, and I see both of their kids moving away to big cities and staying there. (Claudia will go to New York and Janine would end up someplace like MIT or Caltech). With Mimi gone and not much other extended family, their options are really wide open.

I don't see Maureen packing up so easily and moving again...I think she seems to want to be settled in her retirement years. She and Stacey have a close bond also...Stacey would want to have a place where she and her mum visit each other, so I cannot see Maureen simply packing up and leaving the area. I see Stacey at MIT for uni...I think she didn't want to be too far from her mum. I think Sharon and Richard would stay put in Stoneybrook for their retirement years. Remember that Sharon's parents are in Stoneybrook, so I cannot see Sharon and Richard packing up and leaving Stoneybrook so easily. Not to mention that most likely Mary Anne would be living in NYC essentially the next city over. Rachel may end up moving either to a condo in Stoneybrook or maybe Stamford or even NYC...that I can see.

I feel like the Kishis might stay since Peaches did end up moving back to Stoneybrook to raise Lynn and be closer to her sister.
Maybe the Ramsey's would move before Jessi starts high school or after? If they did leave, I imagine Janice and John being a much older.

I don’t necessarily see people moving while their kids were still in school. However, the parents were young! Most had 25+ years before retirement age. Some of them were going elsewhere before they died.

Most of the parents were in their forties...not that young.
They'd maybe be in their late forties/early fifties by the time their kids left for university and were out on their own.
I still don't see too many of them leaving Stoneybrook.
I do see several of them moving to smaller homes once their kids were grown, especially Watson and Elizabeth and the Pike parents.
I had an intriguing thought of Watson and Elizabeth moving near Seth and Lisa and selling their McLelland Road house to a lesbian couple with twelve kids. 😁😁😁

I don't think a ton were in their forties. Mrs. Newton, Mrs. Prezzioso, etc. seemed young. Elizabeth was 37. Plus it was the 80s, people became parents younger.

Richard and Sharon were 42? Even at 50 most people have another 15-20 years of working full time.
