I did years ago. I vaguely remember Karen being upset when Bart Rejected her advances, or when KRisty told her he was her boyfriend, or some combination of the above. I also remember Karen making a collage (which I read as "college" and was very confused by at first, though I wouldn't put it past Karen to try to make a college...) and that somehow leading to her entering a contest to win a trip to Bermuda. She ended up winning and a giant palm tree man came to her door.

I haven't read this one for a while but from what I remember, Bart became her baby-sitter and she got a crush on him, thought he was asking her out on a date, and then was crushed when she dressed up and went and saw that he was really on a date with Kristy but was letting Karen watch the movie with them. I know I really felt for her since I didn't think Bart made it all that clear to a 7 year old that it wasn't a real "date". Then Karen got Bart in trouble with her mom (he was being pretty messy and stuff, though, like she accused him of being - from what I remember at least), felt bad about it, apologized, and did meet the palm tree at the door ;D Like I said, though, I haven't read this one for a long time. I do remember liking it and feeling for Karen.

I remember this book vaguely as well. I felt for Karen to a certain extent, but at the same time what she did to Bart, getting him in trouble like that wasn't right either. However, she is seven so that is probably a typical seven year old reaction.

God, this book. I'm skimming it right now after being reminded of the amazing palm tree scene, and this part stuck out to me: I bet talking about sheep would be okay

Hannie's quote is funny because didn't Claudia make fun of Kristy's snowman shirt during the "sheep are in" fight? I had no idea snowmen were so juvenile.

I thought Karen was a conniving and sneaky b*tch in the book

I liked this book when I was younger, but have since forgotten the whole crush thing.

Karen was mean and sneaky for getting Bart into trouble. I was relieved that Lisa and Seth ended up rehiring Bart for the job. The contest seemed so unrealistic in the end.

Man, I loved this book. The palm tree man has to be one of the best things that ever happened in LS. I loved Karen saying "It's only a man dressed as a tree...isn't it?"
Bart makes "cracker pizzas" when he sits for them, melted cheese and tomato on crackers. Kind of creative I guess.
I loved how Kristy and Bart took Karen to see Homeward Bound at the movies. Cute!

It's funny because my old baby-sitter used to make those for me!
