Cool! It shaves 8 minutes off of my viewing time on Monday, lol.
Well, they got rid of Louie offscreen, so it wasn't traumatic. I can see why Mallory got made fun of.

Neat, I can skip the first 8 minutes lol. It's been driving me crazy but has anyone heard if Shannon will be on the show? I'd love to see her.

^ somebody asked the creator that when s1 was released, she replied “not this season”, so possibly ^^i’m kinda glad his death was offscreen, i would not be able to handle 2 off screen deaths in one season. On a completely unrelated note, i feel bad for mallory, whenever she says anything everyone stares . Even if she is really hyper and high strung. I hope they don’t reduce her to just the comic relief though

Any time I gained on Monday has been lost because I've watched this more than once. Lol. Sam was a freshman in the books, right? Not gonna lie, a sophomore romantically pursuing an 8th grader is a creepy loser vibe.

It is pretty creepy lol

Alicia Silverstone’s son Bear will be playing Linny Papadakis (i’m assuming. they said he would be playing a character with the last name papadakis). But wasn’t Mrs. Papadakis black? And “Linny” looks 100% white, huh. Oh well, at least we’ll probably see Hannie. ;D That's the most dumbest thing I've ever read. Who the hell cares if she was black? Why does race need to be bought into it? Caucasian people can have black children. And besides they were Greek in the books and just because your Greek doesn't mean your black. I'm Maori but it doesn't mean I'm black.

I'm Maori but it doesn't mean I'm black. I find this extremely rude. First off all, I'm just wondering. I didn't say it in a rude way, I'm just wondering, is Linny adopted? And plus, its a black person having a Cacausian child... Second of all, I never said that they were black because they're Greek?? I know they're Greek in the books, but in the show Mrs. Papadakis is black, she makes an appearance in season 1 episode 3. You should really stop targeting random users for a simple, innocent question. Ever heard of misinterpretation?

Well, it's a different Mrs. Papadakis actress. So that answers that.

Some thoughts on the series as a whole:
We never see Kristy playing any sports. I like how she's just a regular tomboy and Jessi gets all the praise for being an athlete.
No Shannon Kilbourne, but I don't think we need her. Stacey took over her role as the super smart overachiever, and we already have Logan and he's not an associate member yet. I'm guessing we wouldn't get Abby either if the shows continues.
My favorite character in season one was Dawn, but I didn't like her as much this time. She leaned way into woke and mysticism and it felt like those were her only personality traits by the end.
Even though Mallory didn't get her own episode, she still felt like a major character the entire way through. Definitely more than Jessi and Stacey.

I agree about Dawn. The new actress was fine. That wasn't a problem. The character talked so much. I felt like I could here her making a woke comment in the background of every conversation. Shh, just a little. If there is a 3rd season would you have a preference if they could get either actress back?
ETA: I'm glad they didn't add Emily Michelle. She wasn't needed.

^ My preference would be the original actress. The new actress was good but I loved the first one.
Also agree about Emily Michelle. Watson choosing Liz's kids was more meaningful than saying he needs another kid to make his family whole.

I was thinking as I was watching that I hated how everyone was all over Claudia’s bed. I know they said that in the books, but the visual grossed me out a bit.
I think that there was even less babysitting in this season. Not that I mind.

I started watching the first episode last night but got distracted. I’ve been so exhausted lately that I need to find the right, peaceful time to binge this…

Yeah, its a little complicated at times! I have to focus or miss stuff.
Wonder if there will be a season 3? It made it to the top 10 on Netflix for a few days. I wonder if being called "Babysitters Club" turns some people away?
