Ah the book that started it all (LS wise) I felt SO bad for Mrs Porter when Hannie and Karen barge into that meeting, claiming they're all witches... how mortifying for her!

I always felt bad for Mrs Porter and Karen's grandma as well. They both must have been embarrassed.
I did like this book though, I always liked Karen's imagination even though it got her in trouble sometimes. I enjoyed her imagining about witches and ghosts.

I thought it was funny when she found out there were boy witches aka warlocks. Her stress level must have been through the roof.
It would have been nice to have her grandma in more books since she lived in town and was apparently friendly with Morbidda. She must hang out with Dawn's grandparents in the part of town where grandparents forget they have grandkids.

I liked this book, but even though it was the first book in the series, it's not one of my favorites. I did feel bad for Mrs. Porter when Karen and Hannie barged into the meeting. Wasn't it actually a garden club meeting or something lol.

I haven't read this one for a really long time but will soon for Halloween. I'll have more thoughts on it then, probably. I do remember thinking it was funny how surprised Watson must have been to see his ex-mother-in-law on his doorstep. "Grandmother Packett?" ;D Agree that I wish she would have been in more LS books. I always wondered where she was - a lot of the grandparents, really.

I have a hard time keeping all the grandparents straight for some reason. I forget who's grandma is who's.

^ ITA, they weren't there often enough! Karen's imagination was a little unbelieveable at times!

I'm getting ready to reread this one for Halloween and remember liking the "Halloween" feel. I'll probably have more thoughts on it soon and am curious if I like it as much as I remember.

I think you are thinking of "Karen's Little witch". Druscilla wasn't on the cover of this book.

Druscilla does look very.... interesting on the cover of Little Witch. She's almost frightening to the point where I'd believe she was a witch. Mrs. Porter too on the cover of this one. I can see why the kids are scared.

Yeah, if I was a kid I would be scared too of Mrs. Porter and Druscilla, but I would probably also be very intrigued.
