I thought it was funny when she found out there were boy witches aka warlocks. Her stress level must have been through the roof.
It would have been nice to have her grandma in more books since she lived in town and was apparently friendly with Morbidda. She must hang out with Dawn's grandparents in the part of town where grandparents forget they have grandkids.

I liked this book, but even though it was the first book in the series, it's not one of my favorites. I did feel bad for Mrs. Porter when Karen and Hannie barged into the meeting. Wasn't it actually a garden club meeting or something lol.
I haven't read this one for a really long time but will soon for Halloween. I'll have more thoughts on it then, probably. I do remember thinking it was funny how surprised Watson must have been to see his ex-mother-in-law on his doorstep. "Grandmother Packett?" ;D Agree that I wish she would have been in more LS books. I always wondered where she was - a lot of the grandparents, really.
Druscilla does look very.... interesting on the cover of Little Witch. She's almost frightening to the point where I'd believe she was a witch. Mrs. Porter too on the cover of this one. I can see why the kids are scared.
