Really? I'm going to be the only person who thinks roller skating is easier? My parents bought me rollerblades right when they started getting popular, and I hated them. I traded them in for skates, and then pretended that my parents wouldn't buy me rollerblades.
This and Karen's witch are the LS books I remember the best. I like how Karen got so many signatures so quickly. I would have never been able to do that, although I would have annoyed my whole family by milking the whole situation and making people wait on me. I was a horrible child. ;-)

I thought it was cute how at first how Karen's family waited on her when she first came home. I probably would have milked the situation when I was a kid too.

^ I liked that too. Wasn't DM even nice to her? That's always a welcome change for me to read. ;D

I remember Charlie giving Karen a candy bar as soon as she got home from the hospital with her cast. I thought that was really sweet.

Charlie seemed to be sweet to Karen a lot. I always thought he was a good brother/stepbrother.

^ Agree. I really love their relationship in Karen's Monsters and in Karen's Worst Day. If I had to have a big brother, I would have wanted one like Charlie. Sam was pretty good to her, too.

Karen's monsters actually was an example that came to my mind first when thinking about Karen and Charlie and Karen's relationship. I liked how she helped him look for clues!

^ Me too. ; D And it was so cute how he had her come along. I can imagine how thrilled she was. Reminds me of the story my mom still tells about her older cousin giving her a ride in his new "pink" car (the Pink Clinker makes me think of this ;D) when he was 17 and she was 7. ;D

I would be thrilled to at that age too. Actually when I was around that age whenever my older sister would take me anywhere in her car I found it fun. Especially when she took me to get ice cream.

WTF is wrong with Watson and Elizabeth in this book? Karen says "it's broken my wrist is broken!" Elizabeth: I'll go call Doctor Dellenkamp. a while passes then Elizabeth says "Doctor Dellenkamp wants you to go to the hospital" what the hell? NO nuts!
I just thought that part was so ridiculous, woudln't they just rush Karen to the hospital in the first place? why waste time calling a doctor if you know the wrist is broken?

Did anyone wear all the protective crap that Karen had to wear? I've never worn a knee pad or a wrist guard in my life. Although from the pictures Karen's wrist guard looked like a stretchy sweat band that wouldn't have saved her even if she had put it on the day she crashed.
