One of my faves even though it is when Karen has a bad day. I liked Karen and Elizabeth's interaction in this book. Charlie and Sam were so sweet. I also liked how the book continued from the last plot when Karen broke her wrist.

^Definitely- wish there was more of that in both series.

That was very sweet of Elizabeth. She was really a nice stepmother. Karen's worst day is one of my favorites. I usually read it when I have a bad day. Sam and Charlie were really nice to Karen.

I liked reading about Karen and Elizabeth, and the part where Sam & Charlie took her out for a milkshake

Guess I'm in the minority in not liking this book (although I enjoyed Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day when I was younger.) What bothered me most was that quite a few good things happened to Karen throughout the day, but she was in too much of a sulk to notice them. For example, Andrew kept offering to share his tattoos, Kristy was willing to play checkers several times, Elizabeth was nice to her and mended Moosie, Karen's punishment finished in time for her to get ice cream and she had enough change. I guess it's pretty realistic that Karen was in too bad of a mood to notice those things. But I didn't like reading about them.

It seemed like Karen was just being ungrateul even though people were going out of their way to be nice to her. That's Karen for you.

I agree that Karen was in too bad of a mood to notice other people being nice to her. I think it's normal for someone not to notice someone being nice to them if they're in a bad mood.

given how few of the bad things that happened were her own fault I really do feel sorry for her.

If I was Karen, I wouldn't have ran home and cried after not getting the cherry Italian ice or whatever it was. I would have just settled on something else. In the end, she got nothing! (But then gets to go out for ice cream with Sam and Charlie in the end, so I guess it makes up for it!)

^It's really hard for me to make decisions, so I feel Karen's pain over picking something and then not being able to get it. Even though Karen was never portrayed as being indecisive, she was a stubborn little booger. Maybe it was hard for her to let go of what she had her heart set on.

^ Maybe it was the build up of her bad day that made her frustrated and a bit explosive? I guess that makes sense!

This is one of my very favourite LS books. It's just good to be reassured that even really bad days can get better.

That day, her goal in life was to get cereal tattoos and watch Mr. Ed. Was the pain of her broken wrist mentioned? I'm sure that was causing her agitation too.

I enjoy reading this. The other day, I had bad day, so I was reading Karen's Worse Day. Cheer me up.
