Yeah, I did feel bad for Nancy. I know someone mentioned that Nancy does get upset unnecessarily sometimes, like in the sleepover one, and that's true - after all, Karen clearly told her that she had invited her. However, I think this was something different - Karen wouldn't let Nancy in the club at all, just because she didn't have a cat. I would have had my little-kid heart broken if my current best friend at the time had specifically made a certain club and told me I couldn't join!

^ That would have upset me, too. What bugged me about Nancy was the "I must be specifically invited" thing because I had a friend who did this and that's what it reminds me of. This book was cute, other than that. ;D

This is one of my favorite LS books. It was one of the first ones I owned and I used to wish I had a shirt like Karen's on the cover. All the talk about kids trying to start clubs that never lasted reminds me of a time in fifth grade when four girls in my class tried to start a baby-sitting club and they even called it "The Baby-Sitters Club." Everyone made fun of them for it, and after about a week two of the girls said they quit, and that was the end of their club.

Haha yeah my friends were always starting clubs at that age, and they just sort of...ended before long. I loved Karen's outfit on this cover too, also Amanda's. I thought the outfit was very Claudia or Stacey-like.

I loved this one when it came out because I am the ultimate cat lover and would have loved to be in her club. Now I see the stupidity of it. My cats would not be jazzed to be locked in a stranger's bedroom with other strange cats.

You almost wonder how the other parents allowed the girls to bring the cats to the big house.

This is one of my favorite Little Sister books too.My first club was a fun club.It lasted one year, then I started a different club.I use to only have one club at a time and thought it was disloyal to have multiple clubs.I obviously don't believe that anymore.

My cats would not be jazzed to be locked in a stranger's bedroom with other strange cats. Neither would mine. Leia and Wednesday would freak right out if I tried that with them.

Today at the library I saw a girl walking around with a copy of this book. I was all happy about it because I like seeing that girls are still reading LS and BSC books.
