I’ll consolidate my thoughts a bit and put everything into one thread. 😝
What was your favorite childhood Christmas gift, and do you still have it?

My favorite Christmas gift is the Titanic board game, which came out soon after Titanic (1997) did in theaters. And yes, I still have it.

I'm not 100 percent sure if he was a Christmas or birthday gift. (They are very close together.) But, my favorite gift was this Pound Purry. His name is Fluffy. He still has his little bowtie, his eyes are scratched, his plastic whiskers are chewed up, and he's an odd shade of gray/brown, but you better believe I still have him! Anzuhana, if I remember correctly then you are Jewish. Do you generally celebrate Christmas? Do you do Hanukkah as well?

It's like a Caboodle for babies!

Sparklymouse, I used to celebrate both when I was younger but now I just have a fake Christmas tree out for the holiday season.

THAT’s the word I was trying to think of earlier. Yes, like a Caboodle. (I also had one of those!) Little fake lipsticks and brushes and a plastic perfume atomizer and tiny pink hair rollers. Lol. And a lighted mirror. It really was the cutest thing and provided hours of entertainment.

Have you ever spent Christmas in a different climate than you are used to? Did it mess with your mind at all?

My first Christmas in San Diego after growing up in Missouri. It was 70s and we had the windows open, so it didn't feel like Christmas at all. It isn't always snowy at Christmas but it's at least cold.

^ I remember being in Santa Monica (at least I think it was Santa Monica), California during Christmas when I was 18 and it was cold. People were wearing winter coats and hats.

I haven’t, and I feel like it would mess with me if I was in a warm climate. I’ve seen those Australians Christmas decorations of Santa on the beach with sunglasses on. That’s just wrong.
How many people do you generally buy presents for?

^ I actually thought about visiting Australia during Christmas and New Year's, so that I'd be able to experience the holidays in a foreign country. I'm a little reluctant to do so now because November - April is Australia's hurricane season.

I buy gifts for two people, my niece and nephew. I loathe shopping for people. When they hit a not yet decided upon age I will stop and go back to my Grinchy ways.
What is your favorite Christmas song?

Probably O Holy Night.

I'm going to go with the modern classic "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey. Apparently she would never have to work again and could just live off of the profits from that one song. How soon after Christmas do you take down your tree/decorations?
