I will put away my fake tree on January 15, 2022. The previous day, January 14, will be the Eastern Orthodox new year and my day "celebrates" it (when I say he celebrates it, he just acknowledges that the holiday falls on that date and wishes me a happy new year in addition to wishing me a happy new year on January 1. The same is true for Eastern Orthodox Christmas, which is January 7).

Last year I took mine down two days later, this year probably my next day off.

I like stuff down by New Year's Day at the latest. My birthday is the week after that, and that's when I get annoyed at other people still having Christmas up.

Is there any particular food that you like to eat during Christmas/holiday season? I remember ever since I was a child, I enjoyed Stauffer's milk chocolate covered star cookies. I tried Stauffer's dark chocolate covered star cookies and I prefer the milk chocolate cookies.

I don’t know what they’re called, but we used to get a chocolate orange at Christmas time. It looked like a segmented orange.

Perhaps they're called Terry's Chocolate Orange.
I want to try apples covered in chocolate sometime (I think there are also apples covered in caramel. If so, I want to try that too).

This will be my last question until next year. Did you get anything for Christmas?

I worked, too. The owner gave me $50 cash. He usually gives me $100, but I guess he wasn't feeling me this year. Lol.

It's December 1st. 'Tis the season.
How many Christmas cards do you send out?

Five this year. I think that it's a nice tradition even though it's not very popular anymore.
Did/Do you hang stockings up?

Yes, we did. My mom made them for the kids. They were my favorite part of Christmas because they were the only real surprises.
How much do you buy new decorations vs using traditional family ones?

I've been using family ones for years. I don't think I've bought new ones in a long time.

I buy “new to me” stuff from thrift stores. I think that Christmas must be the most donated event out there. There’s a lot of unique or brand new stuff.
What would be your preferred kind of gift box/basket/snack tin to receive? The overpriced pre-packaged ones that have like a coffee mug and two packets of hot chocolate, a wax covered cheese and sausage, etc.

I typically like the tins with the different chocolates in them.
Do you a holiday BSC book around that time of year?
