I just read Karen's Monster for the first time. I really liked it. It was sweet how Charlie involved Karen in solving the mystery of who stole Frank and let all the kids ride in the parade.
Any thoughts on this book?

I love this book, I think it was cute how Charlie involved Karen in looking for Frank. It is one of my favorite LS Halloween books.

He's on the baseball team too, isn't he?
As for how he could drive Kristy around... Well, I remember high school getting out before the middle schools. Then there would be practice until five. That would give him enough time to get home, do whatever, pick kristy up, drive her to claudia's, flirt with Janine, or whatever girl/boy he was seeing nearby, pick up kristy, go home, shower, eat dinner, do homework, go out with friends. ... maybe.

^ I like the idea of Charlie flirting with Janine. ;D I also love this book. Charlie is so sweet to Karen and I love how she helps him. It reminds me of how the older boys at the horse shows used to be nice to me in a "big brother" sort of way when I was Karen's age. It always made me feel so special so I can really relate to Karen in this book. I think this might be one of my favorites. I always like reading about Charlie and Sam being good to their younger siblings. Wish I could find some real guys like them (Charlie, at least. Sam is a bit too annoying.) my age. ;D

^ Is he single? ;D I know some guys like Charlie too but unfortunately, they are all related, taken or like brothers. But I don't really want a guy right now anyway. Still, it's fun to think.... ;D

^ Well, Claudia dated Josh. ;D Actually I have dated a lot of younger guys. I tend to go for ones who are much older but younger is often better than the same age or a year or two older. Enough about my love life since I really don't' need one right now. ;D I think I'll focus on the BSC's instead. ;D As for this book, what was the team that stole the monster? Didn't it have a weird name?

Hmm i forget the name but i'm curious. It mentions in the book that Charlie stole this team's mascot, and that's why they stole Frank. Did this happen in an LS book?

I looked it up and the town is called Bricktown. Which does seem pretty weird, but I know there's a Brick Township in NJ (Ann's home state:)). Charlie stole their bulldog. Now I'm really interested, because I want to see if it was a real bulldog or a toy. My parents' high school was the rams and they had a real ram for their mascot ;D

I liked how Karen helped Charlie find out who the thief was. Karen is always on the go solving mysteries.

I re read this one and I saw a HUGE inconsistancy that made me want to go "ANN! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!" Nancy suddenly has stage fright. Miss I Love to Act I want to Be and Actress Nancy was scared as ifshe never did a thing on stage. Nancy's done plays before with no problem. AND Cant' blame Ghostwriters on this because Ann wrote this one. I can't beleive she didn't realize her BIG mistake. or her editors either! xD
