I need the 3 Musketeers explained to me. I'm reading Karen's Witch, and Karen said that Nancy was her best, best friend because she saw her most days. But, she used to see Hannie most days. It's possible that Karen and Hannie were too young to really form a bond before Lisa and the kids moved out. But also, I'm pretty sure that it was mentioned in a book (a Kids in Ms. Colman's Class?) that Karen and Nancy met on the first day of second grade. How did they live next door for a year or two and never meet? Did Hannie and Nancy also meet in second grade? Exactly how new was this deep sisterhood bond?

Interesting, I have never really given much thought to this or wondered who Karen felt closer to. Maybe because she seems like she’d be just fine without either of them, with her big family (and big ideas). I just figured they all met at school and vibed.

Karen grew up next to Hannie, but maybe she was in the same class as Nancy but not Hannie. That could even out or tip the scales in Nancy's favor.
Kristy, Claudia, and Mary Anne all played together as babies. I don't see Karen and Hannie's moms not doing the same thing.

I always assumed Karen met them when she skipped first grade (or was it kindergarten) and ended up in their class. She must have at least known Hannie since they were neighbors at the Big House.
I believe in Karen's Book she talks about when she first met Hannie and/or Nancy but I haven't read that one
