This book was sooo sad. I totally cried. I don't read it often but it's very well-written.

I cried so hard when I read that book. My sister who never read the CA series picked it up and started reading it one day because she wanted something to read, she had to put it down because it was making her cry.

yup like many of you i cried basically the entire way through this book and it took a while to get through it cause i'd have to stop reading. this book made me love sunny even more!!
oh and actually, when i bought it, i misread the title and thought it was sunny #1, so i wasn't expecting it to be so hardcore right away... really threw me for a loop. honestly i was like 3/4ths the way done before i realized i was reading #3.

I've only read it once. But I did need four Kleenexes for it.

I've never read it. It's one of the few I don't have. I really want it, though, Sunny is my favourite character.

^She did. I haven't read all of the CDs, but I remember that there were no ghostwriters for Dawn diaries 1 and 3, and Sunny diary 3. The companion site probably confirms it...

You're right i checked on the site. I just assume that between stacey's choice and graduation day everything is ghostwritten.

I re-read this recently after losing my mom a year ago and it definitely hit home hard. But it's definitely the best written book in terms of substance. The emotions were very real and she did a really good job with the family dynamics. Actually, Sunny's whole experience across the series was really well done.

^i think ann has really improved since she wrote the first bsc book, actually. main street is much better written than bsc, and so is this book.

This was the one that made me like Sunny again. She was pretty darn unlikeable, but you could see where she wouldn't always be.

I'd really like to read this one - I remember one of Dawn's diaries, where she was coming to terms with what was happening and she saw Sunny sitting on her doorstep. I thought that was so sad! Does anyone have this as an ebook?

People have started doing them as ebooks.
