Hmmm.
I haven't seen the movie in probably 10 yrs, so why were some of those lines so familiar? "We're rich, we can almost buy a car! And in five yrs we can drive it!" and "Thirteen! I can't believe you're only thirteen. I thought you weren't quite sixteen, but thirteen?!" to which Claudia mutters "stop shouting in my ear" ... so many more that escape me at the moment... but I can't forget the classic "I'll be FOURTEEN!"
Much as I enjoyed this book, it makes the writing in the standard BSC series look like quality literature. But that's okay.

yeah, i agree about the quality. and there was also some stuff in the book not included in the movie about lucas' drunk friends who made fun of stacey and claudia and claudia being a dumb ass and thinking that linguistics is a pasta (linguini), hahahahha.

^^Word on the pasta thing!! I still have the novelization book somewhere. I'll have to dig it up. Didnt they also talk about how Hunter was allergic to glue? Because he was allergic to wheat and wheat is in glue or something?? Funny, things you'll remember. Geni

Haha, this book is a classic. Seriously. It's like something you'd find on fanfiction.net.

I know I have that book, but I don't think I've ever read it! My mom bought it for me I think, second hand off some yard sale or something, because she knows about me and my obsession with anything BSC lol. I didn't read it because it wasn't long before that that I had watched the movie. Hmm, I'd like to read it now .. and watch the movie again! I can't because I moved out over the summer when I graduated from high school, and most of my BSC stuff is back home!

OMG I remember laughing so much at that! And then thinking "That wasn't even in the movie!" It totally should have been.

The book was sooooooo lame, it was fantastic! Wonderfully terrible!
Hahaha, I loved the 'I'll be fourteen,' bit. It made me crack up in the movie too...
d**n, Luca was hot.

I have this book somewhere too, probably in a box at my parents' house. I agree the writing was bad, but I just had to have it because, well, it's a BSC book! I liked to look through the movie photos in the middle.

I just found my copy of it. Maybe I should reread it and then laugh at it some more.

Maybe I should actually read this book. I've had it forever, but I've never read it.

I noticed in the back of one of my books, they talk about the novelisation of the movie being four books, did anyone see this ad?

Some of the continuity errors from the regular series were atrocious!

I know I used to have this book. I remember buying it at the book fair, and I remember reading it multiple times. That in itself was strange because I was upset by the existence of the movie because I just knew it wouldn't approach the awesomeness of the books (yet I seemed to enjoy the novelization... I don't get me...) I didn't watch that movie until I was like 20 or 21. I need to go look in some of my boxes of books to see if I still have it...

I never even thought to read this. I just figured that the movie wasn't that great so it wouldn't be worth it. You guys make it sound funny though.
