I've never read this book and it is one of the only "extras" to the series that I don't have. I wondered what it was about before I got it, though, and if it was worth getting at all. Any advice? It sounds like it is the girls' letters to each other?

I think it's definitely worth getting! It starts out because Kristy is in the hospital and her cousin sends her a "chain letter" and the instructions are to write a letter to a friend and confess a secret you've never told anyone, then that person sends a letter to another friend and so on. I love it, it's really cute!

Claudia, in a postcard to Janine: How are you and who are mom and Dad? Gee, Claud, I'd hope you'd know who your own parents are... Note to self: Do NOT drink soda while reading this board. I nearly choked. Claudia's postcard was friggin' hilarious. Now I want to buy the Chain Letter book. That'll be my next purchase, I think.

I am re-reading this really quickly right now. I love how Kristy writes to Stacey, I love the non-best friends talking. And Kristy's secrets is one of my favorites (talking about she "hates" her dad), I was actually surprised upon first reading that they actually had her say she hates her dad and sometimes wishes he was dead. And holy crap the stuff about Claudia's answering machine is HILARIOUS. i love little stuff like that thrown in I love their secrets, well some of them. mallory cheating off jessi...its interesting to read about them doing "bad" things. Mrs Kishi's note to Claud/BSC is so funny. Of course Mrs Rodowsky is dyyyying w/o the BSC I'm sure a lot of Stoneybrook was. and then Claud's PS to Dawn asking where to get her answering machine fixed. so funny. and then MAs letter to Cam Geary...so funny.

Is Lewis Bruno in this one? I think someone just mentioned this in another post. I really want to get this one to read about Kristy and Stacey and her feelings on her dad, especially, but I keep forgetting. ;D Maybe I should just order it right now while I'm thinking of it. ;D

I really liked CL, I think I like it better than Secret Santa. Lewis is in it, but briefly. Logan's writing a letter to Mary Anne, and Lewis steals it and starts writing a message to Dawn. It's short, only a couple of lines really, but it's cute.

I like it better than Secret Santa, too, although I love any book where you get to open letters. The design for this one is great, though! All the cards and letters look so good and so exactly like what the characters would actually send.

I liked Margo's postcard (to Stacey?). "That means I love you, not I love sheep." So cute! ;D

Augh!!! I just got this book in the mail today and I was so excited! I have been waiting for it for days! I also ordered the Secret Santa one but it has not come yet. I devoured this on my lunch break and loved it! I loved the stuff with the answering machine and Logan and Lewis's letter to Mary Anne and Dawn and all the pictures. I liked that Mallory and Jessi did something bad and acted like eleven year olds. I thought Claudia's secret was sad because of how much she loved Mimi. Mary Anne had a good secret and I cried when I read Kristy's. It was worth buying!

Just finished reading my copy of Chain Letter. It was great, and I love letters.

I really like this one. I got it through Ebay and didn't get the bracelet, but I did get the bookmark and photo strip. (The photos are adorable!) One thing I like is the relationship between Claudia and Mary Anne. I mean, they grew up together, but in most books they don't seem to have much of a bond. In Chain Letter, Mary Anne sent Claudia her secret, and Claudia replied saying how she didn't think it was bad at all, and ended her letter with something like "I'm proud of you, and I love you." That was really sweet, I thought.
