Yup, it was to Stacey. What I liked about the postcard is that Margo tells Stacey she saw Toby on the beach with a girl and the girl was ugly. Then she says there was a new lifeguard on the beach and he was ugly too. Finally she writes "Mal says this is not a nice postcard and I do not have any more rooms so goodby." Funny!

My copy arrived this morning. It didn't have any of the extras with it but I didn't care. I really enjoyed it. I thought Mary Anne's secret was awesome and I loved the fact that it wasn't just the usual pairings who were writing to each other..apart from Mallory and Jessi. I'm glad I didn't have this as a kid cos I guarantee I would have lost every single letter!
Secret Santa is next on my purchasing list!

I just got this book in the mail yesterday and can’t wait to read it. I already found Margo’s card – so funny. ;D I was worried getting it used that some of the letters would be missing but it’s in like new shape. The girl I got it from even emailed back when I told her I got it (from paperbackswap) and said she’d had it since she was 8. Glad to know there are other people who like to keep their books new (I’m obsessive about mine ;D) I’ve been meaning to read this one for a while so am anxious to see what I think.

I still do the "eye heart ewe" thing in cards to my husband sometimes. The first time I did that sure enough he was all "WTF? You love sheep?". Wow, I get my love letter material from Margo Pike. that's REALLY sad.

hahahaha! the i love ewe thing confused me for years. I was really confused by it when I first read it too (around age 8 or 9 I think). I finally asked my mom and she figured it out in about 2 seconds.

I do have one letter missing - boo and bullfrogs! The one from MA to Claudia (I think it's to Claudia) with MA's secret. That was the one I really wanted to read, too. Would it be possible for someone to type up this letter (if it's not too long ;D) and post it so I could see it. I would really, really appreciate it. Thanks!

it says.... Dear Claudia, Hi! How are you? We've been having fun, but the weather here is stinky- mostly gray and cool. I miss Connecticut. I don't think I'm a California person. Claud, you know what my secret is? (of course you don't. How could you?) My secret is huge and you have to promise not to tell anyone. I haven't told Kristy or any of our friends. And I know I don't have to tell you now. But I guess I'd like to try it out on someone. I'm hoping you won't think it's as big a deal as I do, and then it won't seem so horrible. Maybe I won't even feel that it has to be a secret anymore. Well, the thing is, last year was a little hard. Don't misunderstand me. Parts of it was wonderful, like getting a family- a stepmom who's great, a stepbrother (even if i hardly ever see Jeff), and of course Dawn, the best stepsister in the world. But sometimes i felt awfully shaky. So much else happened. Logan and I found each other and lost each other and then found each other again. I learned some things about my mom that i never knew, and met a grandmother i didn't even know was alive. And i had some trouble in school. (I don't think you guys know that either.) Just a tiny bit of trouble, but at the time, it seemed like big trouble. My grades in English began to drop and I panicked. I don't know. I'd been through so many changes recently. I started waking up each morning feeling awful. And i wanted to cry all the time. The worst part was that I'd start worrying about something( an English grade or a remark Logan had made) and i wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it. The worries took over my mind. I thought i was going crazy. I wasn't sure what to do, but finally i told my guidance counselor. I knew she wouldn't worry about me as much as Dad or you guys would. Anyway, the guidance counselor finally did help me confide in Dad, and then she and Dad found a therapist for me to talk to. He name is Dr. Reese and she's really nice. I saw her once a week after school for an hour each time, and she helped me with a lot of things. She helped me so much I don't even see her anymore. But I still have her phone number, and she told me i can call her any time. So what do you think, Claud? Please don't worry about me, because you have nothing to worry about! Dr. Reese showed me lots of problem-solving techniques, and she helped me feel better about myself. I'm much more secure. Well...now i don't exactly know how to end this letter. Oh, wait! Yes, I do. I forgot to tell you something important. When Jessi sent me her secret, she said she and Mal thought we should have a reunion part as a surprise for Kristy, so we have a little planning to do. Please tell Stacey about the idea, and then we'll get to work. Thanks for listening to my secret. I love you and all my friends! --- Mary Anne
