I'm a total pack rat, too. I don't have any cards or letters from boys who liked me when I was in junior high, or elementary school, or high school, though. Because no one ever wrote me any. Le sigh.

I think I have kept every single letter or card I have ever gotten. I have a bunch of huge boxes in my closet that are overflowing!

I'm about to get this book from paperbackswap, and I'm so excited! MA's letter is way over the top, but had I been lucky enough to have a boyfriend at 13, I'm sure I would have written something similar. (Well, without the "fellowship" part...WTF?)

I remember this book, as well as the chain letter book...I loved them, adn i loved opening the envelopes and taking out the letters, including the litle stuff that would pop up in the envelopes...i thought it was totally "dibbly fresh" It doesn't seem like they're really mentioend in the other series thoughh...except they had a Dr. Reese continuationg thing because it was first mentioned in Chain letter...but i cant' recall any other stuff from teh CL/SS books that were mentioend in the other books.

I want to reread this book now even though it isn't Christmas! My favorite part of this book and the chain letter as well was all the free stuff that came with it. I think I remember a necklace a bookmark and I think a few other things!

I can't wait to read this book! After reading this thread, I went to Amazon.com and found a copy for just a few dollars. I look forward to seeing what happened, especially with Kristy and her dad.

^ I don't remember Kristy and her dad being mentioned. That always intrigues me so I need to get my copy out and reread (though I usually only read things like this around the specific holiday they are for) since I've only read it once. I do remember liking it, though.

It is on my list to re read this holiday season. It won't be as fun though because their is no stuff to pull out of the envelopes anymore!

Yay! I finally got my copy of this book, and I enjoyed it. I managed to find one that still had the friendship necklaces with it. Very cute.

I just received this in the mail! I bought it not thinking the friendship necklaces were in it since it did not say it was! They were though! It was a very pleasant surprise. I loved the book and I liked what Logan did for Mallory the best. The mural was a cool idea too though. Also, Mary Anne knowing that what Kristy really wanted was a letter from her father...awww... I am really glad I got this book! It was just in time for Christmas!

I'm getting ready to reread this one. I can't remember anything about it but am glad that mine has most of the stuff still in tact. I know I'll have lots more thoughts after I read it. ;D

I really liked this one, especially how Claudia is the one to help Eliza. I liked seeing her wish granted, though a lot of the wishes were kind of silly and fulfilled in kind of silly ways. It was fun to read about, though. I thought Kristy’s dad was still a jerk – “I do love you” – then why doesn’t he ever show it until someone else tells him to? I hardly believe Elizabeth is withholding mail from him or something. Does anyone have Eliza’s original wish that they could post a summary of? That’s the only thing I’m missing from mine.

Here it is aln! Sorry it took so long, it has been a busy few days. I will post the entire letter:
Dear Santa Claus, Hi! You probably do not know who I am, so let me interduce myself. I am Eliza Stanley and I am eight years old. Santa, Christmas really is not going to be so good for me and my family this year. My mom an dad lost their jobs last summer and they cannot get new ones. So they do not have money for Crismas presents. That is why I am writing to you. I am not asking for two many toys. Just a Barbie doll and Little house In the Big Woods. Well those are the toys I want but what I really want is for my sister to come home. Can you bring her back? She ran away after Crismas last year and I miss her so much. Her name is Jenniger and she is sixteen. I am sending something to help you tell who she is. It is my half of the friendship necklace Jennifer gave me. I am pretty sure she is wearing the other half. Thank you, Santa. And have a very merry Crismas and a happy new year. Love From, Eliza Stanley
There it is, complete with spelling.

^ Thank you so much. That is such a sweet letter. ;D I liked the book before reading it but now after knowing what it says, it's even more touching. She and Claud sound like kindered spirits with the spelling. ;D Except how old is Eliza? ;D
